Yeah I saw that vid, . The whole build was just a fail from the beginning.

he did a custom sub frame and everything so no telling. He probably just eyeballed everything as he welded.

Oh, and BTW guys, I am immersing myself (read for three hours last night) in the tuning stuff and while difficult, I don't feel it is something I cannot master. I have already began to modify the Stage 1 map from Cobb (changing fans speeds, cold rev limit, etc.) and I will be logging and tuning using Kane's software to fine tune my fuel and Maf.

Sounds cool amigo, what's the end goal? The tuning aspect has always seemed like a dark and mysterious place for the novice (me). At least your not turbo, not yet anyway, so no threat of detonation. A friend at work owns an 06 Sti and he swears by cobb. Said it was the best 500 bucks you could spend. I thought about it, but wasn't sure what significant gains could be gotten from a NA engine, verus the risk of really messing something up.

The end goal is too increase the oil injection, gain some MPG, sooner cooling fan operation, and hopefully about 15WHP.

Yeah I used to have a WRX (saved my life actually just like the commercial ) and my friend has an STI with the COBB and it is a great tool for the money (for them anyway). It's a tool like anything else, I just have to master it.

I will never go turbo on this car (been there done that, NA is my future) but I will probably blow my engine up with the nitrous But I have always wanted to rebuild a rotary anyway so............

Oh, and do the Survey SARX!!!!!!!! Doesn't matter if you have never had problems, do it.

i dont think so, however i think the maps that are uploaded are.... for instance AT- MT, so its better to buy one for your type of tranny because of the maps.... unless you buy one and then get it tuned by MM... but thats extra money.

ask MazdaManiac

No they are not, but the maps are. But you can download the base maps for your year and work from there. A ton of people talk **** about how crappy the stage 1 map from Cobb is but honestly when I compare my logs I don't see what is so bad about it. they say it causes you to run lean but my Hymee shows my AFR to be right where it should be at all RPM's.

Yes, MM is the man when it comes to tuning RX-8's.

Okay guys, these are some quick snaps and don't pay attention to the wheel gap because my car is sitting at the sloped part of my driveway so the wheel gap is about four fingers versus the usual barely 2 fingers. Also, my car is very dirty so try an concentrate on the semi-clean wheels But, tell me what you think. Be honest. Volk GT-F.

Front: 18x8 +33
Rear: 18x9 +

Yeah after this purchase a respray is in order and I have AP sides and rear aero flares in the garage. But I am going with different sides I think, Legsport, or maybe R magic.

Clears would be a nice touch I think...

I also happen to have those which I could sell you... though I'll just toss them in with the rims if you want them lol. Never heard from that guy interested in the clears and my fog light bulbs, so more than willing to toss them in considering how much of my car you've already bought.
