Yeah, the harsh remarks came before ppl realized there were issues with the first RX-8s. They just thought I was crazy or hard on the car when I actually never raced it; I raced my miata. Not everyone experienced all the issues, but I started the onslaught of cars coming in for compression checks at my dealer.

Well, the rotary ws always at the center of my love for Mazda. It's what brought Mazda to my attention, via a Chaste White '94 RX-7. I worked on that car a LOT for my boyfriend and still loved the car. The only reason I never got an fd was because back then, I didn't have the credit to finance such an "old" car. So I bought my first miata because the body style was similar.

 

Nice, I love the Miata as well, my parents own a NA with a 1.8 swap that is fully restored and modded quite a bit. I still love my 8 even though I am on my third engine

 

damn! Time to trade up for a new one!

Who would pay for a compression test? I am looking at eventually buying a compression tester but at $400.00-$600 for it I would like to recoupe some of my cost. LMK.

Well he is not selling the old one and the new on is not out yet and there is no release date as of right now. I have been waiting for it but it's taking forever.

 

he had the USB one out at our last houston RX meet...if you really want one right now it would still be a lot cheaper to drive here and borrow his tester which he lets you use for free and then buy one when it comes out

What's wrong with fields that all look the same aside from the occasional hill or tree? 3-3.5 hours of that doesn't get boring at all.

 

I used to have to drive to Weimer once a month to see our CPA (friend of my old boss) and I hated it. Boring *** drive.

Years ago I drove to Houston to purchase a JDM B18 Honda motor during the week and got caught on the toll way in rush hour traffic. Ugh.

 

Broken motor mounts now... So I buy the car in May still not able to drive it lol. $$$$ money $$$$ hole. No Pain - No gain. I put in the revision B coils and it snapped the drivers mount on test drive. The powa is back!! Yes.. hahah.

 

Cool, I am currently in possession of Hoss-05's car and I think the drivers side mount is jacked up as well. I will check it out this weekend (if the farkin' rain will ever stop).
