Got home too late for cars and coffee... Probably was a lot more comfortable temperature and blazing sun-wise than Biff's though....
pretty good weekend for me, found this at a local skateshop under a pile of used boards, been wanting one of these for years and it just felt like a good chance to get it. I put longboard trucks (gullwings) on it and some old school Vision Blurr wheels, it's not an original 80's one but I'm still plenty stoked and it's a lot of fun just cruising it around.
What up people? I saw jcabbie the other day rollin'. We need to all get together soon. Maybe a picnic at the little park by the frio river we cross going towards bandera?
Does this thread display weird to anyone else?
BTW, I think Charles saved me and found the problem with my car and it doesn't appear I need a new motor. I will update tomorrow.

Hi All,
I'm not sure where to start, so here it goes!
My names Bryon, I live near Sea World and I just purchased me a 2005 Mazda RX8 Shinka. It's a beautiful car and I don't even know where to start. I've read the forums on here, taken in as much as my mind will let me. I'm 29 and have a family(wife and son) and am super excited at the prospect of joining some other local RX8 enthusiasts.
I'd like to know how to get in contact with you all and possibly go to the next meet up. I read about the hill country drives and am super excited about doing one.
I hope to talk to y'all soon and it is nice meeting you.
Sincerely,
Bryon

Hey man,
welcome to the addiction! We get together fairly often but less so in the summer do to the heat, but you should just check in here from time to time and ask away if you have any questions.

We have a Great group of guys and girls here. SARX is a diverse group and you will fit in just fine. Keep an eye out on this thread for get togethers and drives. You would be hard pressed to find a closer knit RX-8 group in the world.
BTW the only real reason to go on the hill country drives is the Ice cream.
Thanks
Thanks for the compliments on the videos. I'll be posting more Car Meet locations on Video in or around the San Antonio, TX.
Before I forget. Boston's Pizza on 1604 & 281, have car meets every Friday from 6:30 to 10pm. Decent parking on the side. More spaces out back depending on the numbers. For those who want something closer and its free.

Depends on the ice cream! As far as question, oh do I already have a couple.
Is it worth it to get the intake and exhaust for this car?
Are all the AC recommendations in my "first $100" worth it?
What is the accessPort I read about? I went to Cobbs and they said they aren't carrying it anymore, but u can still DL the zip for it. Does that mean if someone here locally has the port, I can just use theirs? or is it tied to the vehicle?
Hmmm, I know there is more, but it's almost 4 and I'm driving to corpus today in about 6 hours. Talk to you all as soon as I get back.

apple ice cream.......On the intake and exhaust, Well you are not going to see much gains. A good mid pipe, exhaust and intake may net you 10-15 at the wheels. You would be better off putting in a mid pipe and Ignition kit before anything else. Of course that is my opinion and not everyone will agree.
The AccessPort is a multi use tool. It can be used to flash over the stock engine control computers various control parameters, Data log stock sensor data, clear/check codes and display real time information. It is currently only advertised as being sold by mazdamaniac however I think i just saw that Steve Kan also sells them.

Linux is a pain in the *** if you have a lot of different hardware. It wouldn't work well with the 8
