Felt like replacing my fan today and found out that it will require the removal of the bumper, which I was hoping wouldn't be the case. I kind of expected it but was hoping for a ridiculously easy fix. Hopefully it will be as easy to remove the bumper as it was with the 8. As far as I can tell, the most difficult part might be the fact that it requires torx.

found the problem with my ac compressor, it was an old air line rubbing up against it, I haven't removed all that stuff yet so I found a piece that had been melted almost in half, once I removed it all everything was fine. I took the car for a test drive and ran into another problem though, spark plug wires don't sit very well on my bhr ignition as evidenced by going through 2 sets, and losing a wire today and then blowing the 15 amp "engine fuse" while trying to mess with it, it's good thing I know electrical and what to look for as I was able to get it home. Are there other decent systems out there or is it basically a choice between stock and bhr?

My wires are extremely tight, if they are loose you can send it back to CRH most likely.

Looks good... nice garage set up. Especially the two 8's.

Decided to go through the hassle of removing the bumper to replace the fan and ran into a problem. It turns out I ordered/was sent the wrong fan. Good news is that it's the other fan I needed anyways. Tried to test the fan I received, but it didn't turn on. I'm going to check the fuses tomorrow to make sure that's not the issue, but it's fairly common for people to have issues with the fan control module, so that might also be on the list in order to get my cooling issues sorted out.

Definitely the time of year to get this all sorted. It is very cheap insurance.

I'm guessing if the fuses are still looking good it's the fan control module. Do you guys think it would be worth testing beyond that or just go ahead and order the control module as well?

You are probably just feeling the thinner tires on her car. When I went up to 245/40-18's on stock wheels it took a while to get used to the change in steering feel. That's why the steering on Hoss's car always felt weird when he was on stockers.

You switch back and forth so the difference is more apparent.

Yeah it was really different for me to get back in the car and drive it with all the changes and being use to driving a RHD truck.
