WTF! My spare went flat on me tonight... shitty luck. New tire came in today though, so I'll just have to switch it out tomorrow.

Yyyyea its not ideal. Its amazing how little traction you have with summer tires and 20* weather...

I chk'ed my tire pressure at 40* and it was spot on and now its at 28 lbs...

So I got a cel light today after work around 7pm and my car wouldn't rev up past 5k and it went up very slowly... the cel was p1168, something about the metering oil pump... I let it warm up, changed the oil, and disconnected the two connectors for the oil pump and cleaned them up. After that it ran fine and I cleared the code... I hope that was the end of it....

Any more information? When was the last oil change? How many miles the car? What oil do you use?

I wasn't able to find that particular code for the 8, though maybe I didn't look well enough. If it is related to the OMP, you definitely want to make sure the problem is gone. If your OMP is failing, then you absolutely want to replace it as that could be a serious problem for the engine in the long run.

Exactly the reason why I got a ride from a associate at work who has an SUV. The R3 stays in her garage.

If you get any OMP related CEL it puts the car in limp mode. It will likely return, you can adjust the two bolts on the OMP and that may fix the problem but not always.

Give me a minute to find the thread MM made.

so theoretically just loosen the bolts and rotate it a bit counter clockwise? I'll try it tomorrow cause I actually don't see any smoke from my tail pipe and very very low oil consumption...

If I were you I would premix until you get it sorted out. I would not rotate it all the way just put it in the middle.

Just ordered my new rims Hector was able to get them and I am glad that I am able to support a local business instead of an online retailer.
