Hey Brian, how about a run down of what you have and what you are waiting on etc.
If it's ok with the group, I would suggest sending out the units that you have to those on the list. I'll put myself at the bottom of the list since I made the suggestion.

Ok, this is bullshit...
If this group buy is not completed by August 31st. And I mean completed and received by all. I'm initiataing a refund per Canzoomers policy, and they should be able to refund money of product that hasn't been received, especially if they will refund product after it's been received for a week.
I understand the summer vacations, I also undestand the delays with the new map development efforts over the past 6 months, so I think I'm setting a forgiving and realistic deadline.
I too just want to voice my frustration, as I was in this group buy originally, and was out of it for 4-6 weeks, and got back in again as the opportunity presented itself recently.
There is NO reason why 25 or so units can't be produced in a timely fashion, and everyone has been pretty gracious up to this point.
I kid you not, this is going to get seriously ugly if things don't start happening real quick like.

Canzoomer should change his slogan from "We want more" to "Maybe six months..."
I have to agree with Hskr8. If this thing isn't completed by the end of August - a deadline that is entirely too kind for many of those who ordered over six months ago - I hope Maurice has invested heavily in a good flame suit - for starters. Because there is always this forum that is waiting in lurk mode.
C'mon Maurice, enough is enough.

You guys should call and/or email him. I don't believe he's on the forums very much these days, so your ultimatums won't do much good if he doesn't know about them.
But I totally sympathise.

Ditto everyone's obvious frustrations. I was on the first group buy list but somehow got out of the email loop and ended up NOT getting in on the actual buy. So then I got on the current list. What a mistake that's turned out to be. Would saying that I feel "robbed" at this point be too strong a characterization?

How about a group vote on if we keep the buy alive or request a refund. To Hskr8's point, if he will honor a refund, then a cancellation should also be honored.

I will be calling thier Canadian offices tomorrow, and I will try to get a fix on things and where things stand. I'll be politically correct, however I am pissed off, and I'm also going to be firm on getting this group buy accomplished ASAP, and my 8/31 deadline stands.
I'll post my read of things tomorrow after I get off the phone with them.
Brian, this is in no way an attitude toward you, as I think you're just as frustrated as the rest of us, but dammit dude, you gotta push this issue as well. Ignoring it only puts it off and makes things worse.

im not ignoring anything. there's just nothing to say.
about 3 or 4 times a week, I call. Sometimes I get ahold of him, and he gives me an optimistic ship date, which has but once not held true. The other 90% of the time, I'm told he will call me back. I work 6 days a week 9-7, so I have to call when I can get some free time at work. mind you of course, this was never supposed to have gone on this long.
trust me that I will let you know once I hear some news that I myself actually believe. it took half the memebrs of the first GB breathing down his neck for something to get done about it, so i suggest we do the same.

Hey Brian, no sweat... and I'm sorry this has been such a headache for you as well...
Just got off the phone with Maurice, (actually got cut off due to net 2 phone), but he had allot of things to say about development work on issues relating to burnt coils.... sounds like he didn't go on his vacatation due to too much stuff going on, and he thought that everything should be shipping by next Wednesday.
He was real nice to talk to, and the only thing I can tell is he pretty much seemed to know why I was calling etc. Just sounded like he was really working hard on the burnt coil issue that a few guys have had. He said that everything on backorder should be shipping next Wed, and that included our GB.
I wish I had more to tell you all, but I don't, and let's hope this date is a realistic one.
PS. I got the feeling he reads these threads when he can, even if he doesn't post often.

^^^ Maurice told me everything he just said
They have 27 in the boxes and packed up, the remainder due end of the weekend. So, lets hope for next week. At least we wont have to go through the hassel of sending these back to get all these update.

Any word on if the units will have the "coil safe" fixes that were recently posted to CZ's forum?
On a side note, CZ is doing the smart thing in making sure our units are solid. With the size of this group buy, negative results would be deadly to future sales as well as the liklihood our units will be supported for some time to come.

Having dealt with Maurice before, I know to expect delays.

Oh and if any of you haven't read it yet, you should pick up a copy of RXTuner magazine... they have an article about the CZ unit. This might be a good time to order a tuning cable.
