I am looking for a stage one. Brian said he had a few ppl express interest in maybe selling theirs for a refund... If this is the case. I am willing a ready to get my hands on one. I can pay whenever needed. Thanks for you help! PM me...
RXHusker just got back from the track.. a 2+ mile or so road course, and he has the L flash, and the latest Stage 1 plus a borla... this is what he had to say.... (hope he doesn't mind me quoting him)
" I started to get the hang of it and actually passed two cars in the straights (because they couldn't keep speed coming out of the corners) -- now take this for what it is worth -- and I preface this by saying that I was smoked by one Corvette -- but I did PASS a Vette coming out of the tightest corners into a short straight away. I also passed some sort of track only racing car that is apparently sponsored by a local hair salon (based on the decals). Got up to a top speed of 118 on the back stretch. You really use 3rd gear most of the time -- two spots to get into 4th and a couple of shifts down into 2nd.
The instructor was a Porsche club guy -- he was very impressed with the 8.

Anyway, summer is approaching, and I am going to try to hit the track with him and my stock 8 on Saturday, so you can bet that I am itching to get our zoomer units asap.
(I know I have to wait, just posting some fun and great commentary from a local who already has one)

FWIW, my last autox i ran against a c5 vette and pulled a solid 2 seconds over it every run..they can be driven fast, but they need a skilled driver

epitrochoid, could you contact muarice and see if he has any news regarding the parts he was waiting for or new programs he was working on the ecu ,and see if were still looking good for june. thanks

yes, I did call him and if i hadn't heard so many unfounded promises from him in the past, I'd be estatic about what he had to say.
he actually returned my call for the first time ever today, and said that since there has been so much BS going on, particularly with the first GB (who still havent recieved the units) he's going to push the second one up and just make it one large order of 44 units. the shipping will go like this (or so I'm told)
5 units will ship tomorrow
15-17 in a day or two
22-24 within a week
obviously the first 10 will go to the members of the first group buy, and then I'll hold the remainders till I have all 34 for the second group. it's only fair that way. by the way, these are all stage 1 units. if you wanted stage 2, you can upgrade once it's finished for free (just a new map). I don't know when that will be done however.
