wow
Sometimes the intertubes suck

I think it empowers those without a spine to comment on things that they wouldn't otherwise.
The OP had written a very well thought out post, with which seemed to have a considerable amount of validity. (unfortunately)
Then people just pile on ..... nice

MM isn't perfect but who is?

OH PS:
@ xl2oGel2x ... who is that in your pic ... damn that's sexy

It is my belief that the PM function of this website probably has about 10x as much traffic as the public part and THAT is where all this stuff gets ironed out. Meaning; the word-of-mouth aspect of society is exercised in private, not in public.

What's funny is the amount of threads I've read about people complaining about one thing or another that this vendor is that and another thing ... then you see the tell tale sign ....

"and my Parents and at my Parents house"

lol

I'm actually starting to hate the RX8 because its such a cheap buy and so many ******* stupid teenagers are buying it ..... time to step up and buy something a little more $$$ I guess

I mentioned this in another thread; those of us who are a little "long in the tooth" around here are simply experiencing generational shift and the only way we can change things for the better is to further involve ourselves in shaping this community. A few recent events have illustrated the importance of morals, ethics, personal values, and so forth and we can either walk away from this particular (and special) society/website or we can assert our collective leadership by serving as the examples and influencing these new RX-8 owners.

So far, the RX8Club has been the best-managed website in the automotive world and we have kept it from traversing into the abyss of "ricerdom" and I see no need to give up now.

wcs that is my girlfriend

...and normally I would not post in this kinda thread cause too many ppl are bashing MM in my opionion....yes the OP has a legitimate arguement and I am not saying that he is wrong. Its just that we are not MM we do not know exactly how much work he is taking on but it seems though he works too hard for his own good sometimes. Give the guy some credit though he has made the AccessPort a great buy for many of us as most traditional tuners are not too educated on the Renesis.

So its understandable if you say that it may have been a slow or bad transaction...but you cant bash the man himself as that is just disrespectful and unneccesary

Those of us long in the tooth around here want to puke everytime you post this kind of self serving BS which is becoming quite often lately. Sadly, commercial interests have turned you into the the most shameless, opportunistic suck-up on the forum.

Sheesh .... and relating to the actual topic, while I don't always agree with how MM chooses to express himself he always earns a measure of respect from me for calling it as he sees it rather than pretending to be something he's not. You seem to have become his antithesis.

Let me describe it in a way that makes sense to everyone.

MM can be slow at times, but he has tuned my car multiple times and it's never blown up. In fact the car operated amazingly.

Meanwhile TeamRX8 bashes MM and is an utter and complete Fluid/Race Roots/Mazsport fanboy, and I've got documented engine damage from that side of the house.

I'll let you guys ponder that for a while.

I am not anymore a RaceRoots fanboi than a Mazmart, BHR, etc fanboi.

You ret@rds don't know your @ss from a hole in the ground sometimes. I buy what I need from who I need when I need it, which I recommend and provide feedback based on my experience accordingly. I'm not here to sell anything or seek your approval.

It's clear that some of you went after Brice with a vengance, but look the other way on other things with the people you like. I personally don't think it's fair. That makes me sincerely honest, not a fanboi.

You gotten taken by Scott and will lay your wrath on anybody as justification. It will take someone much less pathetic than yourself to hurt my bunghole.

Apparently, you have a problem with understanding context. Sometimes I like to discuss the direction this forum is headed with those who have expressed concern, whether privately or in public, and avoid "commercial"/shameless promotion in the conversation (which is EXACTLY what I did in that post). The only skill you seem to have lately, Mark, is your keen ability and willingness to engage in sociopathic projections of your own disjointed world view. Besides, unless you have been elected a representative of the "Long in the Tooth Coalition", shut the **** up, you ****.

Was that MM-like enough for you?

Many of those critics of any/all of we vendors have no problem asking for our help in obtaining whatever products they want/need, even after chastising us on this forum, and then gladly accepting whatever pricing gratuities we offer. I guess that makes me a real bad guy around here for setting aside petty personal grievances and giving the best prices to people when I can, even if they probably don't deserve it.

On that note...my advice to you would be, not to take business personally, not to operate emotionally in business or on the internet when possible. Or, put another way, you can pour your heart and soul into your business and into the community...one of those will pay you back, and one of those will **** on you, you can figure out which is which. It took me years to learn this. I thought all the personal energy I put into my business and the community would come back to me when I needed it. For years I put hours daily into rx7club's community, and look how I got **** on and forgotten about by them. It's cool to help individuals, but don't think for a second that trying to lead a community is going to reward you in life, you're only pissing in the wind.

I am not "trying" to lead a community. I am expressing my personal thoughts so others who may be interested in knowing the kinds of principles and ethics their dollars are supporting have the opportunity to know the character of the company whom they are supporting.

In the end, should BHR fail to survive it won't be because I have done anything unscrupulous or engaged in any behavior of ill-repute.

That is the best I can do and the best I can offer.

Even the best have their moments....

This is getting mighty philosophical for a car forum

Doesn't matter how good a job you do...or what you do..... there will always be someone who doesn't like you....

Things are a lot easier when you quit giving a **** if people like you

Investing in the community is investing in ourselves. By contributing information, advice and experience we are ushering in a whole new generation of people who will continue to do the same long after the RX8club is gone. This community exists because of the contributions that have been made, not despite them.

the biggest problem with the forum talking is that you don't know with whom you're talking. while some of us are mature, functioning individuals, some of us are just kids including myself had this been a public forum, logic, reason, and experience may triumph over emotions being conveyed by some teenager who has nothing better to do other than to post stuff on each thread many hours/day. sad truth is, it only takes 2-3 people such as these to make an idiot look like a hero and vice versa.

this will always be the case and have always been the case here. trying to fight it will be, as someone put it before, "pissing into the wind".
