I wish I could have seen the race but the results are good. I'm stoked for Alonso and Ferrari and impressed by Perez. Happy for Hamilton. Sounds like it was quite eventful and exciting.

Finishing 16th, Massa won't be around for long. A deal may be made to replace him before the end of the season (prediction).

Massa still baffled by gap to Alonso
Felipe Massa said Ferrari is no closer to understanding the gap in performance to his team-mate Fernando Alonso after 15 positions separated them at the Malaysian Grand Prix.

Alonso put in another impressive performance to win at Sepang while Massa dropped backwards after a strong start. He was running eighth at the midpoint of the race but tyre degradation and an extra pit stop meant he plummeted to 15th by the chequered flag.

Was a great race, loved seeing Alonso on the highest step again. Too bad that grosjean knocked Schumacher around, in these conditions he excels and would have been able to finish very well. The fact he still beat rosberg by three positions shows how good he is.

ANGRY VETTEL CALLS KARTHIKEYAN A 'CUCUMBER'

World champion Sebastian Vettel didn't just criticise Narain Karthikeyan after their clash in Malaysia -- he called the Indian driver a vegetable.

The back-to-back title winner's points hopes went up in flailing Pirelli rubber towards the end of the rain-affected Sepang race following contact with Karthikeyan's back-of-the-field HRT.

"He was off the track. In my view, it was over," Red Bull driver Vettel, now 17 points behind the championship lead after just two races, said on German RTL television.

"As in real life, there are a few cucumbers on the road," the German frowned.

"It's extremely frustrating, because in a chaotic race where I lost the radio right at the beginning, a fourth place would have been satisfactory."

More broadly, Vettel admits Red Bull has work to do.

Asked about the current pecking order in 2012, he said: "We are somewhere in the middle.

"(Ferrari's) Fernando (Alonso) did a good race today but the key was to always come into the pits at the right time.

"We have work to do, no doubt," added Vettel.

Vettel is 100% right. An inexperienced\incapable driver in a slow car risks to mess the race up for real drivers. Look at what he did to button too, or how he slows down Q3 drivers in q1 by always being in the middle.

Neither was karthikayan's fault. Vettel cut him off and ran his own tire flat on karthikayan's front wing. He had nowhere to go. Vettel is a spoiled brat whining when it doesn't go his way. Button simply slid into karthikayan's rear and instead of crying about it, admitted it was his own fault like a man.

Absolutely. Adversity seems to bring out his true colours. I guess wonder-brat can't shine without that blown diffuser and reality is starting to sink in.

Hamilton was ordinary today, but McLaren BLEW it plain and simple. Why LH is always on the receiving end of their fumbles is interesting. Me thinks Whitmarsh is not very fond of LH, but anyways, enough conspiracy.

Today belongs to the Reds. Congrats to Nando and the Maranello crew. Absolutely fantastic job.

Karthikeyan is not inexperienced otherwise the FIA wouldn't have issued him a superlicence. Because F1 & the FIA are independant of each other, Karthikeyan can't buy his way into that.

If anything, it was probably his 4th finish in the British Formula 3. Honestly, I don't think it proves anything...

I don't like karthikayan or think he belongs in formula 1 in this case he wasn't to blame. I think it's ridiculous he got penalized for it.

I qualified for an FIA licence at one time. But, not a SuperLicence.

I hope there is an appeal on that and they watch the video.

China is a great track though. Hopefully Mercedes will get their car sorted. I'm hoping Schumacher on pole because of that massive straight.

Last I heard was that Paul Ricard and Spa were to alternate years.

Paul.
Hamilton was up a second in the first sector but button was quicker in the last two sectors. Different tires back then, maybe better grip on them but also the middle sector is the slow part where buttons double diffuser made the difference. Not to mention Hamilton's mistake in the last corner. Very cool to see though. Love these kinda comparisons.
