To drive for Ferrari? Just about anyone. Hell fisichella was in a team and went to Ferrari after Massa's injury. If you prove yourself and get to stay it's worth more than a full season at a midfield team. But it's a risk. Trulli has been in decent cars and never really was able to capitalize in them. Whereas an Alonso in a minardi drove himself in the picture of briatore and the rest is history. Trulli is a seat filler and if you want experience on how to drive mid-pack he's your man, but if you want to compete for the titles (like Ferrari) you need guys that can drive beyond what the car is capable of. Alonso, Schumacher, Hamilton and raikonnen to name a few. Alonso proved it Sunday, that car is not a contender right now. I say Ferrari and Mercedes swapped positions with last year. Mercedes might even be the 2nd best team this year after McLaren. Then red bull and lotus in a shared third (I was really amazed at grosjean's qualy.) Then Ferrari.

I agree but who would swap seats right now? Contracts were all defined etc. The poor teams couldn't afford to lose a driver with huge sponsors...
Hell... Alguersari!
Ok screw jarno.

They'll probably let Massa finish the season. If they wanted to get rid of him they would have after last season. My vote would be kobash next year. Or Hamilton. He'd be perfect for Ferrari. Nobody drives with more passion and that's Ferrari through and through.

Hmmm. Hamilton. Alonso would just love that. Kobash really can kick *** and would be neat to see in a top car.

Alonso and Hamilton in the same car would make both fight for the title... and both would lose it
You can have 2 winning drivers only if you have a winning car like McLaren.
Even Redbull has 2 drivers that rarely finish too close.

Rubens Barrichello was the perfect driver for ferrari during the schumacher era. He would finish 2nd even in a race with just barrichellos, the safety car would win in that case

Ha ha! You're terrible.

I do think however, that we would be unwise to count Ferrari out of the championship running. The game has only just begun.

I know that we're just at the beginning but Ferrari clearly forgot how to build a chassis.
Aero and suspension stuff can be improved mid season, if you get the chassis wrong and it doesn't even respond to tuning you're S.O.L!

Some rumors say that ferrari might build a new chassis and undergo new FIA crash tests... we'll see.

Last year they were blaming their everything on their wind tunnel. The problems seems more to be with their top engineering staff.

No matter how good or bad the Ferrari is, fact still remains that Alonso outqualified Massa even after beaching the car. And drove an amazing race while Massa played bumpercars with senna and got his *** kicked by midfielders. He needs to go. If I were di montezemolo I'd send him packing and put in a driver from the youth program if sauber won't release kobash or Perez.

well a new chassis is underway for massa, Ferrari thinks that the one he used may be flawed.

Well Massas' improving... only .7" behind nando now. Lol.
Both Ferrari risk to be left out of q3, Massa will surely miss it.
Raikkonen is posting amazing times. 1.5secs faster than nando...

Isn't Kimi going to take a grid penalty for the Malaysian GP for a gearbox change?

I disagree with pace cars or stopping a race for rain. First of all, the overall visibility wasn't that bad. So, it wasn't raining that hard. The shots from the blimp showed you had at least a mile visibility. If the problem was puddling, then you have a problem with the racetrack and drainage design. Get it fixed. They require it for safety all the time.

The problem is that full rain tyres drain 60l\minute. Visibility is ok 'till you're not a speed but push the fun pedal and you see nothing. The track of course sucks, it's a tilke design.

I understand that spray is a problem, but that is an engineering change. Re-design the rain tires. Slow them down in the corners. Give the driver more responsibility for keeping the car on the track.
I know you can't see this. But, who is that leggy woman in the Kia / Sandman commercial?

Anyway tyres aside i have a video where, at speeds much slower than f1, i couldn't see ANYTHING 100yards from me at SPA. It was a gt3-rs spraying me with its cool diffuser. Will try to upload it sooner or later, it's fun (for the viewers)

Was that the public road section or the racetrack part of the track?

Jorge, Alonso is leading the race.

In a way, I don't like watching the race live. I can't skip through the commercials.
