^ Me too. Kabura/Furai based RX-7, and a Taiki/Furai RX-9 would be fine.

So maybe we need to search the lot at this years SSXIII.

I'd place an order for a 16X-equipped 2-seat Kabura in that red today if they'd let me. Actually, even a 1.3L

Kabura earned rave reviews and is the right size to me. Kazamai has a nice side profile. I dislike the pointed nose on some of these concepts. The front end of the Hakaze is hideous. Senku looks very incomplete and boring.

That's my take on some of their concepts. Taiki, although not shown here, is weird and non-stimulating as well. Kabura is the closest thing to having the spirit and direction needed.

Paul.

i added taiki to the mix in E's post but Im throwing a couple pics here too. I disagree(had to happen some day) with Paul- i see a very cool very buildable car under this concept. push the body out into a "scoop" instead of tucking it in at the rear tires... mold the rear into a produceable shape... that roofline becomes a hatch...keep the doors

^I would never buy that car. The rear looks way to ugly with the tires like it is. Not only that but it looks like you would have no choice but to use the same size rim/tire in the rear regardless.

I think the simplest sketch they did was a stunner. This is way too futuristic and over the top IMO.

I think the key with outrageous concept cars, such as the Taiki, you understand that 'design queues' will be taken from them on a more functional platform, and not that any production car will ever remotely resemble the Taiki in structure.

Right, and when you take the "design cues" from the Taiki and apply them to a Mazda 3, you get a ridiculous smiley face.

so the 7 will probably just be a 2 door 8 sorta. something to fill the rx gap between the MX5 and the rx9 with the x16s..

I bet it so they can offer a cheaper sports car while having a more expensive on with the 9.

I'm probably a bad man, but I wouldn't be able to afford both the 8 and the new Rotary. I'd be trading the 8 in. Sorry baby...*pats head*

Considering the fact that neither will be available for 2 years (give or take,) I would think you'll probably see little value in trade for the 8. Plus, you should be just about paid off by then anyway.

That's right. Trade in values for our cars are terrible. Whenever Mazda does release new rotary-powered vehicle(s), buy the one that suits you and keep the 8 for use as a track car...
