Yes the tails.
Here's a thread that you might have seen but it shows the different tails:
http://www.forums.evolutionm.net/sho...d.php?t=115532
I like the evo 7 tails from those. Also, are you planning on keeping the wing *cough* park bench???...j/k

Keep in mind my car is Blue and I'm just not sure how I feel about the almost solid red tails on a blue car. I may consider trying to smoke my stock tails or blacking something out before spending $400 on new ones. I think I'm going with Gunmetal or even black wheels. Gold appeals to me as well but it almost doesn't seem right unless it's a Subaru.

Yeah, I don't mind the wing on the evo but it just makes it stand out more. With all that power, there's really no need for anymore attention from the donut eating gang. Unless you plan on doing 100 mph sweepers, I would take it off somehow.
I think the evo9 tails would look sweet on blue. I wouldn't tint your tails as it's illegal and decreases the effectiveness of the brake lights. The evo 7 tails would look very jdm imo. I hope that Mazda gets rid of the ricer euro tails soon. I'd be all over evo7 style tails for the rx8.

jesus ike.. that BoV sounds sick. You should hook up one of those water filled bird whistles to it and see how it sounds then! :b
Nice change of cars though. Hope you enjoy it.

darkMaz, I don't think you've seen my exhaust yet, and you haven't heard the car yet... I'm getting plenty of attention from the police wing or not.

IMHO it's either wing or no wing. I've seen some guys post pics of their Evos with the smaller Lancer Ralliart spoilers and it looked sorta out of place to me. Love it or leave it, the spoiler is vintage Evo.
Ike...pick up the latest issue (February) of Modified Magazine when you have a chance. AMS has their Evo VIII on the cover and there's a great article about the car and their Chicago shop. I learned a lot. This is the same car that ran a 9.41 @ 156mph and would have finished in the top 5 in "One Lap of America" until the boost controller went nuts and blew a head gasket. Nevertheless they finished 7th running on low boost. It's also totally streetable. Very versatile car!

Until I read that article I had always been under the impression that AMS was the place to go for OBSCENE power. Their signature product has always been their EMS and, frankly, how can you really justify a $1600 stand-alone unless you're running an aftermarket snail. That being said, it still is a great place for obscene power...I mean that shop car on the cover put down 810whp...but it's also a great place to take your Evo daily driver. Maybe that's not news to you, but I didn't know. Anyways be sure to tell us about your trip to AMS when you finally get a chance. I'm sure they'll find a way to make your Evo even faster.

Here's a blue one with Evo 7 tails and badge, looks better than I thought it would. The license plate is a little bittersweet... And here's a white one that I'm a little jealous of. I'm kinda thinkinging debadge, then get a black Mitsubishi diamond badge and do the tails like the white car. They also have a red diamond badge from the Evo 6 that might look good if I were to get the Evo 7 tails, though I'm still a little iffy on the red and blue but it might look nice considering the Brembos are red.

I'm still going to get a recirculation kit just to see if it changes the way the car drives at all.

Definately go with the evo 7 tails. They look awsome especially with debadging. Your exhaust is blinging but looks fine. Actually, it looks quite good.
I'm not sure if you'd like this but white wheels would look sweet imo. should match the brembos nicely. Otherwise, gunmetal would look fine too.
Actually screw white wheels. Go Gunmetal!

I'm starting to narrow down my wheel choice after days of searching... If I get the Team Dynamics wheels I'll get anthracite and not black. As of right now I'm leaning towarsd the Wedsport wheels in bronze or the Emotions in gunmetal. Another alternative is Rota makes a knockoff of the Emotions that are pretty similar minus all the lettering. Let me know what you guys think, looks like I'll need to order tomorrow.

I can get these Rota's in Gunmetal for about half the price of the Work Emotions, but I think I'm going to go with the Team Dynamics racing in anthracite unless I can get the Weds wheels shipped to me quickly. I can pick them up since the only us Importer is about an hour from here, and they're the same wheels used on the FQ340 and FQ400 in the UK. They're also one of the cheaper wheels I'm looking at and I get to save on shipping and pickup locally. Found these pics of a BBY with the TDRs as well.

Me? lmao.
No, it's comments like these from Ike that I read on a daily basis and I get tired of it.
"That's so lame Bart, if you actually drove it at least use your own words."
"This thread sucks."
" Thanks for yet another useless thread that will be closed shortly."
They get old and I am just replying Ike style. Have a nice day.
