I jumped ship tonight... It's got a ricer wing, pretty blue ricer guages, well lets just say it's totally rice. But it makes you do this when you take a turn fast or step on the gas. Now I just need to order some more ricer mods! So long Subaru, you served me well!

Regular old Evo 8, I got a low miles '04. I went out tonight fully intending to come home with a '06 WRX or a Evo 9 RS. The car has some mods on it already but they were well thought out and are quality mods. I'll get some pics up in the next day or two. Also, it's Blue by you which could be the best car color name ever. Funny that I wouldn't buy a Blue STi but I ended up buying a Blue Evo...

The Evo is a great car, but boy does it look mean! It almost made me overcome my pure hatred towards mitsubishi, but then they didn't sell it in Canada, so I hate on.
Is this blue by you?

Welcome to the club IkeEvo!
If the RS was offered in that color I woulda been all over it. The BBY Evos are awesome. Be careful in the snow. As evidence by the snow tires on their way, you're already well aware that the factory Advans are designed for dry roads.
So what was done to the car before you got it and what are you planning to do? I'm pumped for you dude. I know you've been looking to replace the WRX for as long as I've been a member of this forum and for as long as I've been reading your posts on NASIOC. My money was on you getting a new STi but you'll be happy with this car...even moreso than the STi if I may be so bold. It's got more tuning potential. Believe me! Every power mod I've done to this car has been worth every penny.
You've probably done all of the research already, but some of the pitfalls to watch out for on Evos are aftermarket intakes. Waste of money. Plenty of 11 second Evos on the factory airbox and filter. Also avoid blow-off valves. I know the pshhhh pshhhh sound and turbochargers are a match made in heaven to some people...and I miss the sound from time to time...but the Evo's ECU uses a mass air flow sensor. If you vent any air to atmosphere it'll throw off the MAF sensor and cause studdering, bucking, sloppy idle, rich conditions and stalling. It's not worth it. And finally EvoM is run and frequented by mental midgets, newbs, and fanbois. It's become an absolute embarassment to the Evo community. Find a good local forum. You'll meet other owners. If there's nothing specific to WI feel free to join the NorCal boards. I don't think you'll be able to make our meets, but every big Evo tuner in the country (except Vishnu) posts there on occasion. Gruppe-S, WORKS and even Dave Buschur and Al from Dynoworks post.
BTW...I'm so jealous of how much fun you're gonna have in the snow. Just be careful if you do some 360's because if the steering wheel is turned all the way for some reason some people have toasted their power steering pump. So basically just make sure the steering wheel isn't turned all the way left or right.
And finally POST SOME PICS!
