hell yeah man, omg u hit it right on the nose dude....im 21 i dont need a 4 door 4 seater. if it were up to me itd be a 2 door 2 seater and weigh 300 lbs less without all that frame strengthening they had to do bc of the doors....

232hp would have been fine in a car weighin 2700 lbs.....

all theyd have to do is go to 2 door and the performance would jump leaps and bounds, there ya go guys, dont even bother with a bigger engine...keep the 1.3l and drop it 300 lbs....

HELLOOOOOOOO

MAZDA? are u there?

while ur reading this, make me the driver for the rolex GT 3 rotor rx8.....!

If it has a back seat and suicide doors, then it's an RX8. If it's a two seater rotary , then it's an RX7.

nothing wrong with an rx8 again. hell, if they remade the current rx8 with a big weight drop i.e. '300 lbs' then i would buy it again.

Please do not suggest the twin turbo come back. That system is absolute crap.

You are not going to get a car of the RX8's size and quality - interior wise - to drop 300lbs and maintain the interior quality without incurring a lot of cost. I.E. it would no longer be a ~30,000$ car.

Mazda would have to retrain their entire staff of techs to ACTUALLY be able to COMPETENTLY work on a rotary motor and bring the MPG way up amongst other things to make this motor more mainstream and viable enough to put in 2 cars at the same time. I'm not saying it can't happen. I think the engineers at Mazda - and everywhere else actually - have the ability to give us some amazing things, a lot more than they do give us. I just don't see 2 rotaries being offered at the same time in the near future.
Mazda was all about the rotary in the 70's. They had trucks (repu), cars (rx2, rx3, rx4, cosmo-rx5, and rx7)

It's been done before.
