And just today I read in the wall street journal that GM is failing and is going to sell its stock of Subaru.

That's b/c all of their cars don't have a 400HP LS*

Any specifics about how GM is failing? have an article?

EDIT: maybe this one?

The LS2 Solstice will be awesome, and unless you're talking about top speed, it will probably hang with a Corvette. Plus it looks better IMO, and costs $7,000 or so less. Frankly, I'm surprised GM isn't doing this themselves. The Solstice is closer to what the original Corvette was anyway! This car will be great for guys who would like to have a Cobra kit car, except for the tiny size and fair-weather-only nature of them.

edit: GM doesn't do LS2's in every car because of manufacturing costs. I have to wonder though, why couldn't they lop off a couple cylinders and make 300 HP? If we're talking about 50 HP per cylinder, I mean. Build a LS2-cousin-V6-powered midsize sedan @300 HP, and you could sell some cars. Especially with a manual option and/or RWD.

GM already has a 90 degree V-6. Why make another?

they used to have that, it was called a camaro, (except for the sedan part, they had the older Impala for that...which they butchered into a FWD nightmare) but they eventually killed the styling and priced it too high so.......
