Not exactly, at least the commentator here said that Lewis has lower aerodynamics loads hence the disadvantage on wet tracks.

Going back to the tv room!

I was wondering about that. He being a German and Hamilton driving a German (Mercedes) powered car.

well, what to say? I really don't know, for a time it wasn't the best driver to win the championship.
I mean, hamilton did a balanced season but didn't do stellar things while Massa emerged from bad situations while doing mistakes as well but mostly entertaining us.
I know he doesn't have a very good car at the moment but my favourite driver is Vettel.

Horrible sport week for me. Red Wings lose against the Ducks and the Sharks, Arsenal allows two late goals to tie Tottenham then proceeds to lose to Stoke (WHAT THE HELL!), and now Hamilton wins the championship on the last turn.

I should just head to bed and not get up for a week...

Vettel & Toro Rosso did an outstanding job this year. On Speed TV, they talked about the advances that McLaren & Ferrari made this year. I believe Toro Rosso eclipsed them it that area.

Especially on a budget vs results point of view.
Sad thing is that everybody gave the best while hamilton didn't try to push much.
I mean... if you're a champion you want to win every single race, not just the championship.
A matter of attitude that makes me prefer massa, kubica and vettel over raikkonen and hamilton.

lmao, you really think hamilton didnt try? if i was in hamilton shoes, i wouldnt try anything stupid to jeopardize my chance of winning the championship. i bet if massa was in his shoes, he would of done the same thing also.

That isn't true for Massa actually crashed his car several times trying to achieve 1st pos. instead of 2nd
The problem is that Hamilton is overtalked and overrated while there are other drivers capable of driving at the very same level on worst cars (kubica and vettel for instance.)
Raikkonen lacks the passion but he has plenty of talent, Massa has both combined with a big heart when it comes to racing.

so your telling me, if Massa was in Hamilton shoes. he would of gone all out to make it the first place , even though he only had to stay in 5th place? i know your all emotional because massa lost the championship, but come on

any how i hope massa gets it next year.

I don't like to put it hypothetically, but the facts of the season tell this. As for next season, who cares... i mean, i just hope to watch a great battle between champions including kubica, vettel, raikkonen an the not so lucky alonso. Isn't that all that we should care of, at the end of the day?

Well, it's not about being the Championship. It's about the fight to become Champion. Let the 2009 Season begin.

That was a load of horsesh*&t for Glock/Toyota to just decide who should be Champion - make no mistake, that's what happened! They should be banned from racing!! Yes I wanted Massa to win the Championship, but I could accept it if Hamilton actually WON it. I don't dislike Hamilton. But look at Vettel - he was in much the same position and could have given Hamilton the Champioship but he did what he was supposed to do: his job, which is to achieve the best possible result for your team. Lewis only deserves the Championship if he earned it, which he didn't do today. And Massa did.

Also, there is no reason for Lewis to have been in that position to begin with as he is capable of much better. Also, one of my brothers (the one who doesn't follow racing at all) summed it up best - MacLaren should never have pitted befor Massa and before they knew that they were guaranteed 5th or better and this would not even have been an issue. Undoubtedly Massa has paid the penalty for his team's mistake this year, and that's what would have happend to Lewis . . . but not for Glock. I hope he shares his career earnings with Timo, because he owes it to him. after today.

According to the news stories Timo's tires were shot and he couldn't control the car in the rain on the dry tires. edited: my mistake he did come in 6th. Comment rescinded.

lmao i guess you must of forgot last year when Massa all of suddens slows down and let Kimi pass him for the championship. and we all know that is illegal. but wow talk about ferrari fans being hypocrites.
but its so funny watching massa fans get all emotional. but in the end of day, hamitlon makes millions, he gets to take home the main prize. lol

also Glock was still on Dry tires, which is probably why he wasnt able to stay in 4th. you do remember everyone came in on lap 5-4

hmm, I thought I posted a response already so you'll probably find it in the middle of some other thread making no sense at all to the topic. haha

Anyway, Glock said in the post race that he wanted 4th, so they gambled on the dry tires. Then on the last lap he was struggling just to keep the car on the track. Obviously, the gamble didn't pay off. You can see his car squirming around on some of the replays of the pass.
