Uncle Lee, please help. I'm the WQA blue 8. After changed the battery, I think the ECU or the TREC thing reset itself. Now cannot go to 10k rpm. Max 9.5k only. Tested top speed just now on the way back. Accelerate from 110km/h @ 6th gear. I let go at 187km/h at a very short distance due to the road was so uneven. Just like on a boat. Some more the steering went left and right, especially on the left lane. Only ok when there was good condition road (but sadly to be too short). Front P-zero nero 235 rear yoko db 0 245.
Anyway, nothing much I can do now as I'm flying few more hours later. I'll find you when I come back and see if there is anything we can try.
If there is any used ori muffler, please let me know. The RE is nice but a bit too loud

Wah.....hantam untill 10,000rpms...... I did that too when i first bought it a couple of months back.....BUT, u'll quickly realise that there is virtually NO power gain past 9,000rpms...... Might as well shift @ 9,000rpms and save ur engine from a good thrashing.....

BTW, ur RE-Amemiya exhaust is the Dolphin Tailpipe version arr??? got pics of it?

Changing the battery shouldn't reset the Trecs thing because the trecs is set up mechanically by hand.

csl, I didn't notice your screen name until you mentioned the RE exhaust! Anyway as I told you,I have used ori muffler, and I believe most members have it too. But what they don't have (which I do) is the utmost desire to have your RE exhaust. Keep me updated please!

So true.. but my car's pinging crap is really bothering me. So I rarely go up to 9k anymore. Feels sluggish. (bugger)

Well E-manage ultimate is just another piggy back.
I think you'll benefit more from the reflash as compared to E-manage ultimate.
For one, emanage ultimate can't remove the speed cut for you or help with the cooling.

Well, autoexe is the correct spelling and AutoExec is the correct way to pronounce it.

Yes emanage ultimate comes with speed cut removal function but although I haven't try, I think the speedcut removal function will not work for RX-8.

I saw it too...... But it doesn't work...... If not why nobody has ever mention it in this website......... Secondly using E-Manage Ultimate alone, you'll be havin problem maintaining the setting, becos RX8 has drive-by-wire which will automatically correct it's setting to original....... In Japan, remap is very common becos it has been a common tool (software), ECU nowadays are higly sophisticated and precise, that's why many tuner does remap......

I'm not guessing, i open up E-Manage Ultimate b4, RX8 wasn't in the speed cut list.....
