I think Ringer has a white one. UG has black (unless colour changed??). So far, the only one I haven't seen is the Nordic green.

Neon, know how you feel, man.

I have actually written to Mazda Japan before to ask them some questions on the 8. They initially replied to say they will not entertain anyone who did not buy from their authorised dealers...so I gave them a fairly strong email abt customer service, how its their fault for not letting MM get the 8 early enough, and how we are still a Mazda owner at the end of the day. After that, they did reply

Anyway, maybe we can ask our MM RX8 brothers to get parts for us next time :D What say you?

I did think of dat. I actually told the sales rep. that and he said they will throughly check their customers cars before replacing a new part!

My god!! I am an unhappy Mazda owner!!!!!!!!!

But then again, if theres a willing soul from MM, we can always put the defective part on their car first - problem solved :D

What parts are you looking for that the PIs can't deliever??

For me the biggest draw back from getting the 8 from PIs are all these other markets are getting and we're not – FLASHES! All these A-Z Flashes to up date the ECU, really like to find out do we really need the re-flash and how to get it??

Sorry mate, remember wrongly, only been to the gathering 2 short times.

As for the re-flash, I'm going back next week to check something on the car, will check with them about the flash, frankly I got a feeling they know nuts.

Er, i guess u can read or has read about the damn flashes in the tech forum?

I personally think it affects us cuz most of the problems the americans pointed out are exactly wad we face. U can try to ask Eastmoon about them.

As for MM. Forget it, dun even think they know wad a freakin flash is.

And , for gettin parts from PIs, yes. Can be done but have to wait. Impatient Neon.

Cheers

Hi Jammer! Welcome.
I've yet to hear the Basic Auto dip below 120k, I guess that's a pretty good price.

Conventional engines are cooled solely by radiators, but hi-performance engines that produce more heat use oil coolers in addition to regular radiators for cooling. Basically, oil coolers work the same way as radiators but they cool the engine's oil instead of piped water. The JDM models have 1 oil cooler and the Euro spec models from MM has twin oil coolers behind the fog lights. If you don't intend to drive on the tracks, 1 oil cooler should be enough for normal everyday road use. I think Neon has some experience driving with 1 oil cooler on the tracks... I could be wrong tho. *getting old*

U r absolutely right.

I am actually quite disappointed with the Freakin 8!

Wait till some of u MM boyz go track and tell me abt ur oil temp.

If 2 do not help, and i get further confirmation from Euro/US boyz dat aftermarkets dont too. I am changing car soon........Serious.

I'm not much of a track person, but I would love to test the 8 out on the track. I don't have very high expectations though because in my opinion, the 8 was never meant to be a serious contender against the likes of Rexs or Evos. Maybe you are disappointed with the 8 because you have higher expectations?

To me the 8 is very much a lifestyle car...
