erm... If u removed the speed cut. install launch pack, light weight pulley, exhaust, manifold, cold air filter... may be will be 1-2 car space slower than a stock 6 speed manual in 400m race. the senario will be u might launch faster but just when 2nd gear, and after 3 gear i think u will be chased and will be starting to fade away.
remember exhaust , mid pipe, manifold might not be a good mod for auto rx8.

lennon how much will all the boosth cost for our car? all 4 wheel.
burnog, if u launch on a traffic light with a manual in a traffic light u might be able to get a head of him a bit, but not long. if he rev the car until 3000 rpm, with clutch ready, i am sure u cannot over take him. because i am an auto driver also. semi auto is no use too cause it does not produce high fuel presure in the 3 and 4th gear.
My experience is, use semi auto for gear 1 and 2 then put it back to auto, the 3rd gear goes faster with more fuel push into the engine due to the ecu setting.

the problem for me is, i always go outstation and got few bridge with sloopes and a few bumps, sometimes go site like 8ken8. so cannot make the car low low since its a daily car. well... i know what u guys is thinking, drive another car... cannot, i have bad experience that they dun want naik my hilux =_='' too cheap may be.
....learn from lennon lah.....clear and clean everytimes....

Where got manual rev cut at 8,000??? I can rev mine all the way to 9,500rpm and even 10,000rpm...... Ive been doing that even to my previous Rx7 FD3S...... Futher more........ manual Type S is rated at 250ps while auto is rated at 210ps.....
PLEASE do ur RESEARCH right !!!!! The diff between 0-100kmh time of Manual vs Auto is something around 2 seconds...........
Manual Rx8 gets a Six Port Renesis where-as Auto is only 4 Port....!!!!!!!
The difference is quite a lot if u do ur research right......
Comparing both Manual & Auto by the speed-cut is Ridiculous to say the least !!!!!
Might as well say that a Perdana can kick the Rx8 Renesis *** coz it can hit over 200km/h while Rx8 with speed-cut only 187km/h

The SKYLINE GTT R34 is as fast as the SKYLINE GTR R34 V-Spec coz these 2 cars osso got speed-cut !!!!!!!
