well im not such a theories person like u r bro. practicality is my friend, if it feels good its good, if it feels bad its bad.

 

Just returned from the dyno test.
Results: Overall drop in HP and Torque, not glaringly but a drop none the less with the open pod.
The big difference is, with the drop in, the car felt more eager and more ready to zoom off the mark..I'm not saying it's true for all RX8's out there but it's true for mine.
Dyno's are just numbers but it served as a confirmation of my own suspicions.

Anyway, if anybody is interested in a one week old Blitz open pod filter with heat shield, it's up for sale!

On my car, open pod no gains on overall hp, torque plus low end more sluggish...
KNN drop in filter, on wheel HP was 195 vs open pod HP reading 189
But I prefered my car with the original box with a KNN. More responsive and better low end.

Hello to all the sifus here. I am interested in RX-8. Been looking at this site and other forum. Been to a few shop to look at the car. For a used car or recond car, what should I look for? How do I know if the car is in good condition? I scared of buying a problematic car.

I'm now looking at these 2 car (1) 03 M RX-8 unreg - RM178k and (2) 04M RX-8 unreg - RM188k. Is the price ok? According to the salesman, both have amemiya body kit and the 04 has full system exhaust, not sure what brand.

That might reflect the condition of the car, maybe low mileage? Besides those prices are usually before nego.
