I'd guessed yours was the one they had listed as on the 9th. When did you order?

 

Ok finally I have a delivery date (before PDI etc) of 31st October to T W Whites....I also have a VIN.
Problem is that Whites have more preorders than any other dealer, so it'll take them longer to do. I've asked that as long as I have mine all done (inc tinting) by 19th Nov I'll be happy. Plenty of time!

 

Not for 3 years now MR_Digital_UK absolutely loved it tho, wife still runs an MX3 - years old one lady owner.............mint condition lets hope our RX8's last as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 

Have just seen a transporter with at least 6 RX8's on the back heading up the A329m in Bracknell. Dont know if they were heading for Wales or London.

I expected to see the transporter full of them but there were loads of Mazda 2's and 6's on there too.

So for all those people waiting on the M4 corridor - there was 1 Black, 2 titanium and 2 red at least on board.

I got told by my dealer that those people who pre-ordered prior to 30 April 2003 are getting there delivery dates now. Those people after that date the dates are being entered in the systems later this week.

Can people agree or disagree with that.?......

 

I ordered on 1st July and have my VIN number and provisional date to the dealer of 5th December

 

I live on the M4 corridor. By the sounds of what you have said, these cars could be on there way to Newbury, Mike Gwyer has orderd a black one, contigo has a red on order, + I have a red on order, but somehow think that it is not my car as I have been given a date of 05/12/003, here's hoping though!!!

The delivery date of 5th December 2003 you have been given by your Mazda dealer is an estimated date, due to the fact that
your Mazda RX-8 has not yet arrived at our import centre. As soon as the boat carrying your vehicle arrives at the European
import centre your dealer will be given a more accurate delivery date.

For those customers who have been given a delivery month of November it is still our intention to delivery all vehicles to dealers
within that month.

It seem's you are in the same boat as I, Mr Digital and Edo. We have been given the same info Chris T has given you. I suggest you contact your dealer on Friday, as we have been told by #Chris T to do, and they should give us better news than the delivery date for December.

My dealer told me last week that the delivery date would be 5th December also. I was a bit angry with this after getting the letter from Mazda saying it would be a November delivery. The system was updated that morning and a new delivery date of the 25th November given.

It looks like Mazda are booking down the 5th December for certain cars until they receive the cars in Rotterdam. Once they have the cars they then seem to be able to give more precise and earlier delivery dates.

My dealer mentioned that Mazda are getting the cars processed faster through customs - something to do with them being preprocessed??

He also mentioned that the delivery dates could be +/- a couple of days due to the route's the driver has to take dropping off the cars i.e. he may have to visit numerous dealers for different drop off's.

Hang in there and the delivery date should come down.

 

I would be very pleased if mine came 25th. I really need mine no later than the 27th for a wedding.... (not mine I hasten to add!) Lets hope for once they are going to better a promised date....

 

Beaconsfield Mazda took delivery of two RX8s today. This is the date of arrival , so maybe this answers the port/ deal erconundrum ?( 4 were expected).

Was one of the deliveries yours , let me know. Is this the first delivery ?:D :D :D

 

Whatever your arrangement with your dealer, Mazda themselves did not take orders until Feb 28 2003, and hence your order will have been placed with Mazda by your dealer at some point after that.

I also gave my dealer a deposit in October/November 2002 and I know that my order was placed by my dealer within hours after the pre-order line was open at Mazda.

 

Well, my EP number is one of the first few, but I have just been told that my car is expected to arrive in Rotterdam on the 25th of November..... Sigh, I better have a car for Christmas!

Anyone know if Mazda have a teleporter, otherwise delivery in November as promised seems unlikley.... How long does it take to get the car from Rotterdam?

For the record, I ordered High power, Titanium with Leather, Sunroof and Nav.

 

Well I do hope for Mazda's sake that my car is not on the same boat as yours, was told November delivery by letter, dealer says 5/12/03, Chris T is saying November can still be met. However I am noticing a trend with deliveries, it seems that all hi power with cloth/leather are coming through first, then hi power with sat nav, then hi power with sat nav and sunroof. It seems that is the order they were built in the factory.

 

My dealer said 15 days from Sheerness and 7 days from Rotterdam (to dealer); that's why they changed. This makes sense as Rotterdam is a key clearing port in Europe, so I believe they can clear the cars there much faster and then ship within a day to Immingham. Immingham is about 4 to 5 hrs drive from most places in England.

 

Anyone with provisional 5th December dates had any more info please?

Ordered 19/07 (I think)
Black Hi power with no options (same as ploszek), but ordered the MP3 player accessory.

Just spoken to the dealership (JCT600 in Bradford) and they've just taken delivery of their first for a customer, and are getting their demo model tomorrow (proper test drive, yay!).

Have asked for confirmation of wether the 20th is date to dealer or date to port, and am waiting a call back.
