Now 29th of November, instead of the 25th of November (to my dealer). Why they bother giving date to dealer, I dont know - only interested in a date to me!

Let's look on the bright side, Saturday car due to dealer, which is what they suggested to me originally for a Dec 5th delivery to me, which means we should finally get our cars next week - woohoo!!:D

Hi,

Yeah, I also ordered blue back at the beginning of July. I was originally told December, then I was told 26th November. However, due to a delay with the ship (apparently), it's now due at the dealers on 5th Dec.

If you are that desperate for one, I posted in another thread that Beaconsfield have a blue one in the showroom for sale. It has sat-nav and sunroof, but you could but it today if you wanted. If that's not your spec, it's always worth ringing around dealers to see what's available.

Excellent news Bazza! Sorry, you have probably already posted this, but is this the date you were expecting, or has it arrived early/late ? I see more peoples seem to be arriving a little early, so i'm keeping my fingers crossed for a surprise phone call

Hi Timmy,

Like most others the dealer changed the date a few times. Originally letter stated November, then dealer said 13th Dec, then changed their mind to 5th Dec 3 weeks ago.

Basically jumped around a bit, but they have stuck to their last date stated to me, and they did always say the car was due in to dealer on 29th Nov, so looking at it this was it has arrived to them early.

Well, just called my dealers, and the car is there - no idea how long it has been there for, they are being cagy. It was due there yesterday. New plate doc is there (thanks Andrew) as is my cover note. So ready to rock and roll sometime next week. They say they will call me to arrange a day on Monday - they've never yet called when they promised, but we'll see.

Also Mazda Uk are paying for a hire car for this weekend as I have a wedding to go to in Manchester, and I dont fancy using a 175k Laguna for that journey. So that has restored my faith in their customer service.

So, all being well some time next week ** RXB in Black with SatNave and Leather will be on the road in West london and Bracknell (office).....

Keep your eyes peeled.

Good news Edo, things are looking up!!

I would set a reminder if I was you to phone them on Monday to arrange a date though, as phoning back does not seem to be a strong point for the dealers.

Hi Timmy,

Not that desparate only want to get an idea of whether the time given by the dealer is accurate, plus I have already got my 04 plate from DVLA :D :D

Hi Anthony,

I have just got back from seeing that blue one at Beaconsfield actually, as I had not seen the blue in the flesh before. I was very impressed with it....Very happy with the colour.

The car had already been sold though, which is frustrating, as he'll have his car before me

On a seperate note, I went into the Chrysler garage next door, as I saw they had a crossfire in the showroom. I have to admit, I thought it looked really good. All the photos I have seen I hated, but it looked really good, and was very comfortable inside.

Don't get me wrong, there is no way i'm going to even want to try and find the extra £3k to change from the Mazda.

Was in the US in sept and saw the Crossfire out there. Have to agree thought it was very nice, but as a complete package the RX won.

Looks like there will only be a few of us with the blue, although I think it could become very popular

I saw a crossfire pulling off the M5 at junction 7 a couple of days ago. It really didn't look pretty from behind, especially with that silly little spoiler that folds back down at low speed, looks better without it. The square pipes with much smaller round holes doesn't make it look like it has much of an engine in it.

Unfortunately I was showing less then empty on the fuel gauge so I didn't show him a clean pair of heals around the outside of the roundabout. Running out wouldn't have been too impressive.

I pulled along side at the next roundabout and didn't think much of the looks from the side either. I noticed him checking out what a decent car looked like though

Cheers
---Dave

Called in to my dealer today, Tunbridge Wells Mazda, on the off chance of news on my car expected to be "soon". Was shocked to be told it will be delivered on Friday and can be picked up next week.
Happy at last but soon brought down to earth by their dismal trade in offer on my new car, and when pushed for some compensation for the delay (ordered in April) I was told they could do nothing! Not even a set of mats!
Oh the joys of being a Mazda customer!
I was alos peeved to see a titanium in their compound (same as mine) with the black/red leather. I was told this was only available on the red or black cars.

I've received my Winning Blue from Beaconsfield Mazda on 11th December.
I was originally told Mid December and when I ran again at the start of December I was told that it would be in on the 6th.
There were 3 other Blues about when I picken mine up.

Everyone at work is very imressed with the car. It's surprisingly chunkier than a S2000 too - despite the lower smaller engine in the RX8.
