Spoke to my dealer this afternoon, and they can see my car on one system which shows up as just as November, but they are waiting for it to appear on another system/screen where they can see an actual date.

Im calling in next week to sort out my accessories and other stuff so hopefully I can find out more then.

The cars will be here in November, - I know its close but no rocking of the boat is going to achieve anything. Let's just wait - I've been waiting over 12 months, its now 4 weeks off - so be patient.

The cars are appearing on the dealer systems. - Give it some time.

You won't see your car until late in November if my dealer is to be believed (or is indicative) as his earliest deliveries are Nov 16th plus prep time. Not 4 weeks away then (but getting closer I'll agree).

 

Now, if we did a poll to see who ACTUALLY BELIEVES their dealer info......

I'm just going with the flow...assuming November sometime....

My dealer said that they are moving over to a new system called 'emotive'. They had been expecting this to happen on friday.

Dealer phoned me at 6:30 tonight. I have a date for the car!!

At long last and after 11 months, ups and downs, peaks and troughs etc, my car will be delivered and ready for collection on 11th November 2003.

Hope this is right but I must say, my dealer , Stafford Mazda have been 100% upfront with the information and generally been excellent.

All I need to do now is sell the MX-5 and I'll be away. Does any body want one!!

Phone your dealers they should have dates for your cars now as well!!

I too got a date from my dealer yesterday but I was a bit reticent about posting it as it seems awfully early.

The date I got given was.................. 29th October

But my dealer said I should really allow another 7 days on top of this as the distribution was being handled by a third party. Also as they are not picking up their demonstrator until the 27th / 28th.

This may be a false dawn but I certainly hope not.

I spent the majority of yesterday afternoon and evening in shock, because after 7 months of waiting the momentous day is finally in sight.

I urge everyone to call their dealers today, you never know he may have some fantastic news for you.

I phoned my dealer this morning, and my car is showing on the computer as 'in transit' with an estimated delivery date of 16th November.

 

I popped into my dealership this morning on the way to work. My dealer kindly supplied me with the following infomation from their computer system:

My estimated delivery date: 16th November
Total number of cars allocated to the dealer with delivery dates: 8
Earliest delivery date: 9 Nov (car was ordered Jan 2003)

Hope this is useful.

 

Oh, I forgot to mention that I now have my VIN as well: JMZ5E???600??????

The only bumer about the delivery date is that I will be in India from the 6 to the 16 of November so I will have to wait a few more days (sob!)

 

Spoke to my Dealer this AM.

He has a VIN no. and a delivery date of 09/11/03.

He's not sure if this is the date to me or him.

He said that the cars are being offloaded in Rotterdam and then loaded onto ro-ro for the UK.

I'm setting my hopes on mid November.:D

My dealer gave me 16/11/03 yesterday as the date to him (i.e. off of the transporter).

 

Just come off the phone from my dealer who says that the delivery dates we are getting (9 / 11 / 16th Nov) are when they arrive from Rotterdam (all Mazda PDI's are being carried out there before shipping.) That means we need to factor in the time for transport from UK port to the dealerships and then dealer PDI time. My dealer has 4 on his system already allocated so he has given me an expected handover date of 23rd November. I would not be surprised if these delivery dates you are all getting are the same and that you have to get the dealer to take the other time factors into account.

The other interesting thing that he told me is that the way they are given this information is simply a daily printout from Mazda and they dont have any way of interactively looking at the system for this information - good use of technology eh!?

Byrdd - he said they had one other 231ps Titanium with leather on the system which I assume is yours - looks like we'll be a rare site on the roads of South West Wales for a while!:D

Looking at the info we have so far, I am not optimistic I will see the car in the first half of November.

God help Mazda if it slips into December.

 

Update from RX8 Line today 14th October at 1:26. Your dealer will be able to give you a definitive delivery date after the 17th when the details have been uploaded onto their systems.

When are the cars due into the country? "We don't have that information".

We'll see.

 

Ive been into my dealers today to sort out my registration and accessories etc, and they have given me a date that the car will be with them of 12-November.

for me the dealership gets the car on the 16th November.

i will probably get it anytime thereafter

OK - No delivery date for me yet

My dealer has "promised" to phone me as soon as they have a date ... spoke to them 3 times last week. I said "I'll stop hassling you as long as you phone me as soon as you know".

So here I am ... no phone call .... no date .....

Maybe I'm lucky, cos I can't be disappointed with them missing a date they haven't committed to
