i finally picked up my r1's **** they look wide im even starting to doubt they'll fit.

i wasnt on track with my 8 since it still needs a windshield replacement. i was in a friends 3 driving him around all day.

as for the rsx not really took a few laps to get close then another lap of me being to close for comfort before he slowed and waved me by.

Well about the only good news from yesterday was that in the few laps we actually ran hard, we were fast enough to get into the top class (GT1) in the Ontario GT Sprints. We ran a 1:54 flat on long track and the breakout for our regular class (GT4) is 2:01! The car could have gone abit faster as we were playing with tire pressures etc, but the alternator failed again, I was just going to drive until the battery failed, but the transmission started to stiffen up shifting between 2nd and 3rd. We packed it in, we cant afford to wreck the Mazda Comp gear box, no replacement for it!

Once we fix the car I am going to try and find an hour or two on Fabi one week night this month to test before racing in September, the race for next weekend is now out of the question. If 5-6 people want to come that night just let me know.

I dont think its the car actually. We borrowed one from another team at Mosport and it worked fine for the race, then got mine rebuilt for the 2nd time and it failed again within minutes. I think that the rebuilders are doing what most do and looking for the obvious (internal voltage regulator) and replacing it, not looking at what is making it fail. We had no problems for 3 years with the alternator until the wire broke off the 1st race of this year.
