Shannonville date for August 2009
Just spoke to Shannonville, only Friday evening available for Pro-Track is Friday August 7th from 5:30-8:30pm. I have it reserved for until this Wed at noon to confirm with a deposit. Same deal as last time for pricing 17ppl @ $121.00 per person $103.00 per person @ 20 people. In my opinion this should book on a 1st come 1st basis as we have room for 24 car if we can book that many.

this maybe too many track days to close together for some. if their dosnt seem enough interest there are other clubs we could hook up with. just a thought.

I'll go if I don't break anything at Mosport August 3rd. So in other words I'll come tentitively if theres still a spot after August 3rd assuming this date sticks. Didn't quite get my fix of the dry Shannonville hehe

If we can only get 10-12 we could still do Nelson or Fabi?!?! Not as good as Pro track of course, but it's still racin

I'm out. The last track day messed up my coils. So, not only do I have no power over 7000 RPM, I have to pay $$$. It's not all bad though. The car stills works fine under 7000, and I am getting BHR coils. Not a total loss by any means, just an annoyance.

I am not sure yet if it is the plugs or coils or both. TheWulf read my CEL as "P0302 Cylinder 2 Misfire" (lol... cylinder). It could be either, but I would not be surprised if both the plugs and coils needed replacing. I will be checking the plugs up close next weekend when we do our compression test. As for the coils, I will take a closer look at them on the weekend too.
Right now the car runs fine as long as I stay under 7000 RPM. From what I have read around here, symptoms like that usually turn out to be bad coils.

Doesnt look like we have near enough interest, so I will give an alternative. August 3 Imagemotorsports has long/pro track from 9am - 5pm. Weather permitting we will be going to that event for some test time for the race car. The cost is $160.00 for the whole day, if we can get a group together the organizer may give us a break on the price. I usually get there between 9-10am and leave no later than 2pm because of long weekend traffic. Let me know if anyone is interested.
