The thing is Wing that i have 2 kids, a GF, tons of studying for an exams and at 44 it isn't as easy as at 24 to manage all this. ( well, the GF is easy...) Plus i have to return my leased Passat and have to have an appt with VW... ( i know, ranting..........)

If your then using a mileage of >100 the error possibilities start to compound themselves. Result.. misleadingly and inncorrect gas useage numbers. Only flaw here is how come few if any are reporting like 25-30 mi/gal?
