Back from New Z land and Oz

Hi everybody!

What a trip. New Zeland was absolutly amazing! Even though I saw no 8's there . The views are stunning and the people friendly. Everyday was a happy one, even on the bus rides between places was a joy. I must admit that I did oh so wanted to have been able to drive my 8 on any of the winding roads there. Imagine moutains and lakes while you take bends and curves with nothing but you on the road. There is so little cars there it's amazing. Paradise is found. In Austrailia, I saw a handful of 8's which was great. The cities of Melbourne and Sydney where interesting and the sights seen when we venture outside them were great as well. I must admit, the flies in Oz is a little too much for my wife and I. They are just too annoying for my liking.

So I'm back and now in a rush to winterize the car. Rims, rubbers and winter mats. As for the latter, still don't know what I'm going to do about it. It's between Dealership, Aftermarket, or good old generic mats. Anyone have suggestions I'm all ears. I'll be reading the threads on the subject this week while I get myself caught up here at work. When I get some pics uploaded I'll fire some up here for you too gander at.

What's the status of the Toronto RX8 club?
Any special reports on the 8 I should be aware of?

Great to be back and drivng my 8.

Good to have you back, hobbes! [and just in time for the first To-area flurries, or more :p ]. BTW, fly pop. here currently approaching zero.

I'm sure that you'll find more than you ever wanted to know in the threads.
P.S. two weeks ago I had said that I'd post pics of my BSA rims, but have been holding off until my rotor hubs could be painted. Well, today's the day.. under warranty yet..film at 11:00

Welcome back Hobbes! Good to hear you had a great time in Oz... I've always wanted to visit... The flight would probably kill me... I go crazy on a 4hr flight... I hate flying..

So you're gonna winterize the 8... Better make it snappy... The cold front is fast approaching...

Where are the pics! lol

Thanks for the welcome back guys!

Can't wait to see them pics Apaul. I had something cooking when I was away and now I have to pick them up, early X-mas gift for the 8 :p .

and Neo it's a 24 hour flight not including the layovers. My advice--sleep, lots and lots of sleep on the flights. Either that or get pissed drunk to know any better what time it is. .

nojooc - No worries.
