We have been through all this before. A bunch of people hyping his stuff up who really had no idea IMO. ProTuner is one example. It is really nothing more than an early partially derived beta project and all the people who bought into the $1k price tag ending up getting hung out to dry. I never was able to even get a base starter map, which basically means I ended up with absolutely nothing for my money. You can see above that customers still can't get an email reply from him By all rights he should be getting slapped with a Bad Guy thread.

Yes this is really frustrating,

Atleast I got so mutch that I can tune my RX-8 but as Team says its an early beta release and shouldn't been released to the public atleast not for that kind of money.

Leaving his customers hanging for long periods of time isent the best way to make business.

Sorry to hear about your personal problems but don't let that get in the way for your business in these long time spans.

Hymee cat back

We are just about ready to go on this .Payment process etc will be posted soon.If anyone is nervous about paying up front rather than sending the money direct to Hymee the Rx8club.com.au has offered to hold funds in their account. (thanks Andrew)
If anyone is wanting to order please PM me or go to the Australian site to see how things are progressing.
Thanks to those that have stepped up and placed their orders.

USB Scanalyzer - incomplete beta project

ProTuner - incomplete beta project

SC kit - incomplete beta project

Yet they were marketed and sold as being complete. He clearly is in touch with you, yet continues to selectively ignore past customers who expected and need support. Does this sound like the kind of person to trust with your hard earned money?

Fool me once; shame on you. Fool me twice; shame on me.

Hymee

Hi Guys. I am not in any position to comment on the difficulties you have experienced in the past.I can say that I have continually been told by some members of the RX 8 community that Hymee is a decent ,honest guy who has in recent times had some personal difficulties.Having said that I have to tell you that the group buy project I initiated in Australia based on his post here has caused me a great deal of angst. A couple of days ago I was at the point where I was ready to direct the participants to forward their AU $1250 plus freight costs to Hymee. Regretably he unexpectedly posted at the eleventh hour advising the cost would actually be $1495 including freight. He indicated his web site prices were 1 to 2 years out of date . Effectively the new price was around $100 more than the web site prices and approximately $150 to $200 more than the price quoted on this forum. I have asked him to publicly explain why the price recently quoted will not apply and to date there has been no response. A moderator of the Australian forum has given me good support after I contacted him over this matter and is ,I understand, attempting to make contact with Hymee. I am far from happy....... Please note that I do not wish to get into an ongoing public denigration of the guy however since I was seeking buyers from the USA ( and had at least one) I feel obliged to tell you all what has occurred.

Hymee exhaust

I have been advised that attempts are being made to honor the original quoted price which obviously was very attractive. I will advise further when I have more information.

Hymee cat back

I have come to the conclusion that I can no longer support this group buy project after Hymee unexpectedly revised the quoted price upwards. The PMs I have received confirm that many people have lost confidence in his ability to deliver as promised . I hope over time Hymee can get his business back on track and I would like to thank all those RX8 owners who stepped up to be involved in this.I am sorry if people have been inconvenienced by this saga.

I never thought It was a good price but I was willing to give it a go. I think most likely now I will pick up something else.

Well I'm sorry for your trouble. It was never my intention to crap on your thread, but if Hymee intends to make a come back then the first order of business is to set the past straight.

I understand where you are coming from team, I dont blame you and have been struggling with my kit for a long time but I do want to see him come back and do not think he will ever be able to write his wrongs to the extent most wish he could..

Well surprise, surprise.

It's a shame that the one product he's marketed that actually does what it says on the tin cannot now be bought due to the usual disorganised approach.

Good ideas, poorly executed by a bloke who means well but cannot deliver.

And we all have personal problems!

So true . For some this is always the excuse to fall back on , others just get on with it and get the job done .

in support of Hymee

I for one am a friend of Mark and he has visited me in California, stayed at my home and distributed my product. In all the years he has always done as he says he will. He has been dedicated to the Rx8 community on many levels.
Unfortunatly as a single person entity his personal problems filter through to the buisness end more easily.
I've suffered the same fate as he and can tell you that after 20 years I am not recovered. I'm not making excuses here just want to loby for support of the man.
He is by all accounts a hard working man of integrity and resorcfullness.
I have his catback and scanilyser thingie, both of which have worked well for years. People still get down on ground to look at that catback.
Taking on the SC as a one man show is a crazy thing to do (just look at me) I gave up on it. I think I had more resorces than Mark yet found the cost in time and money just far outstripped any possable return. There could never be enough Rx8 sales to recover costs.
Lets see if we can give support to Mark in his hour(s) hard going.
I know he will somehow make it up to you.

I agree, I have tried in the past to help but things did not work out in the end. He still emails me once in awhile to see how things are going with my project. Mark is truly a good guy and I wish nothing but the best for him.

If he had taken the time to contact me and let me know I might feel different. Instead like so many others emails went unanswered etc no different than the MM/turbo kit situation. You could say the same thing about Mazsport. The guy got in a tough spot and went under. If you were one of the people who got the sharp end of the stick then your view might be different from a bystander. This is true in almost every similar situation. I paid $1k for PtoTuner and never got the base stock tune which means the same as getting nothing at all for my money because without that you are dead in the water. I only bought it because other people raved on about it. That was my RX8Club baptism on clueless fanbois. Lesson learned.

I understand your feelings. I have a Very expensive piece of his hardware and am having to go it alone largely unsupported. I could have just gone with the pettit kit for the price I paid... but I guess I have to be different.
