Hey Gibbo
There is still time to get the Sydney RX8ers to convoy down to Melbourne for our cruise this weekend? Surely you can vouch for us as honest (we didn't pinch your wheels) and friendly (we didn't spit on you our your car) when we met up in Melbourne last time :D

As Choppy said, everyone in Sydney is working too damn hard to pay off their Sydney mortgage!!
I'll be in a Sydney cruise but as a relative newcomer to the forum I don't think it's appropriate for me to dictate dates, places, etc.
Any of the more established posters care to step up to the plate??

I did a cruise about 4 weeks ago up to the Hunter Valley with 4 other RX-8 owners and a porsche, couple of supras and GTS's. Cruises do happen maybe you are not one of the cool kids that gets invited to all the parties :D.
OK if a cruise is what you want, lets throw around some desinations and then we can look at dates.
We could do a cruise up to Terrigal and go to the Crown Plaza Beer Garden for lunch. Go up via the old road for a bit of fun and then come back the Highway.
Make it on a Saturday or Sunday.
How's that for starters?

I'll be in that Gibbo!
Wanna suggest some dates?
May is probably too short notice.
I can do 4, 11, 12 or 18 June. Then I'm cactus until late July.

Gibbo,
Love your work. Haven't missed too many official drives yet, so count me in. Discovered Putty Road for the very first time the other week. What a shame the twisties at either end are separated by an hour or so of boredom in the middle. Tell me when and where, and I'll be there.

Hey Gibbo,
U recovered from the Putty Rd yet?, you missed all the action on the way back through old pacific hwy.
Guys a group of us will be planning a private day out at WAKEFIELD, Gibbo you can be the voice via the forum as I have been away and out of touch for some time and will keep you posted on the time frame.
There has also been some discussions about trip south via Nasho & through Kanga Valley or even a trip to the Mountain via Bells line of road. There are many options, but if you guys want an RX8 assault on the PUTTY RD then just pick a DAY!!!!!!!!!!!

Nrvous,
You never fail to disappoint. Next drive day will be without the wife or with no kids to pick up on the way home. I am in for anything. Let me know about the track day, I am going to try to make the next burrows in June if you are up for it.
Anyway, I am pretty busy up until June, so I will throw some dates around this week for the Terrigal Drive, for the sedate they can do the Old road up and highway back, for the game we can do the old road up and back.
Cheers
Gibbo

I found that the tyre is still brand new after 1000km on the freeway. I need to "open" it up before going down the mountain. I hardly drive hard most occasion and in fact I don't think I drive very hard at all at the mountain yesterday (at most 70%)
I drive 90% freeway on these tyres and it could last me 50000km plus.
The Pilot Sport is great on the mountain... 10 times better than RE040s.

Any further news on the proposed cruise to Terrigal? I've suggested a few dates in a previous post in this thread.
I see the Bris-vegas boys and the Mexicans are planning their next outing.
Call me parochial but methinks a challenge is afoot. Keen to fly the Sydney flag.

I will be up there on the 18th and leaving on the 19th June
I have not book the ticket yet ... I will ask Mrs. Taka about it tonight. We are free on the 19th of course and we can go on a late flight back to Melbourne. I think Mrs. Taka might want to see Little Taka earlier :o
