Just the Kal, would love to go if I could. And I got a bit bored at home and got a job, so time off would be a bit of a problem too. I expect lots of pics from you guys though!

All was relatively peaceful on this forum until this question was raised

Has anyone heard from Missy K or Cromax? I would like to know how are they going......

Well you got your reply

I just got sick for a few days and this had turned upside down.

For people who questioned me before in the sick bed:

1) The thread is not under-moderated. For my limited time there and review the thread. There is just 2 people arguing. However, if people want me to be stricter towards some post... please do not hesitate to report them. All moderators review them in case my case status and please elaborate why you report - otherwise it will get ignored.
2) Some personal comments are just not appropriate and please do not drag OzRenesis into their love lives (ref to "ozrenesis love-in"). We have not yet approve their relationships (never haha kidding). MissyK's dad did.
3) Gomez deleted the thread itself.
4) This is a car forum people. Keep all the bullshit in here... (the lounge)

Some threads are posted to antaganise...some are not. My question was not said in anger, and stimulated enough interest to get Kal and Cromax back to bench for some healthy and lively debate.
If we can't forgive and forget then we all may as well come back in our next lives as f*#en chooks..... because all we were getting fed here were the scraps, shell grit and day old f#*n bread...and I've done my bit to shoot the **** off the thread. lol

Would someone please enlighten me as to wtf is going on?

Why did you delete that thread Gomez?

As posted previously, I'm getting sick of all the aggro. Can we not discuss issues such as a new model/facelift without getting all cranky with one another?

By accident I switched to question times at parliament house on ABC. Conversation were very similar. People on one side of table has a compulsion to argue with the other side.

Yes, but that's their job, lol.

Seriously, as most of you know, I argue for a living and don't mind the odd spirited debate in here from time to time but it's important to play the ball, not the man. I'd prefer the car and its issues to be at the centre of the discussion, not how smart someone is or whether they're seeking attention, blah, blah, blah.

If there really is a personality clash, as I've experienced in here as well, best to just leave each other alone rather than snipe away with catty remarks. It doesn't make you look clever, just sad.

You'll recall that I PM'ed you last week and asked you to do something about that. You said, "Cromax is allowed to have his **** opinion". Well, his **** opinion got out of hand.

Ultimately, the thread got polluted with so much crap that I felt was unlikely that the thread would ever get back on-topic.

I was going to update the thread with info from the Product Development Manager of Mazda Australia, but wth.....

Well, where's my frigging email/PM then??

Alternatively, share it with the rest of the class in a new thread and resist the bait if it's tossed...

Not your thread Gomez - that thing got so many hits in first the 48 hours you'd think it was Wimbeldon.

I was referring to when we lose members and when the forum goes quiet for a while. I don't mind the 'spirited debate'....but when it gets out of control that's when the mods come in to do their stuff - mediate, keep conversations moving (bump), close, merge, split, delete and edit threads when appropriate. Its a thankless job but its a much needed one.

The point I'd like to make is when someone disengages....the 'fight' is over and its time to move on. With the amount of hot debate going on lately, we could nearly justify having a once a week internet 'fight night' which is strictly moderated.

I won't say any more for fear of getting into a fight myself....

The mods have better things to do than enforce basic courtesy and halting the descent of a civilised exchange of views into a slanging match.

Everybody needs to take responsibility to avoid that happening as the topic just gets lost in all the bitching.
