I'm invading Australia for acouple of weeks as of Sunday (urg... 30 hours of air travel here I come)...

I will be no doubt missing my 8... so if you're in the Wollongong / Sydney area and see some dude randomly waving at you at the side of the road... relax.. he's not insane.. just missing his car

I'd just like to say that after nearly 5 years I still get a kick out of dropping it back a gear in a tunnel and hearing it wind out to redline.

Some things are just good.

Its one of the things I miss most with my Magnaflo exhaust, it just doesn't stack up to the Hymee through the Swan street bridge on Hoddle Street .

Been a long time since my last post.

Still have my 8. Now done 21,000km and officially 6 years old (build date Aug 04).

Drive it every day to work and back home. No modifications apart from the usb attachment I stuck on it to play my mp3 from a usb stick. Still happy with it, and still feels like almost new!

Just a few things to remember. Battery still sucks because I forgot to close the boot properly so the boot light drained the battery after 24 hours. Had a few times of hill starts to get it going again (lucky my driveway is on a slope). Engine mount problem with the rubber dampener thingy sometimes makes it seems like it's idling a little rough. Stealership in artarmon keeps saying it's ok, even if it was on the list of "known" issues.

Apart from that all the buttons work, ***** turn like they should, and nothing has fallen off.

Still only getting approx 300km out of a full tank but I mostly drive from home to work again around hilly north shore sydney 5km each way so not really surprised.

Good to see some of the old guard still here and lots of new people too

WOW...Gday....

Your POOR car...only see's 10 KMs (6 miles) use a Day!, engine would NEVER get fully Hot.

Battery still sucks because I forgot to close the boot properly so the boot light drained the battery after 24 hours.
Why does it "Suck", ALL Car batteries (any Battery) will Drain flat if there is a load on it.??

Good to see you have stayed with your 8..

SHAMELESS PLUG: Support my Movember please :)

Hi guys,

This year I've decided to support Movember to raise awareness about men's health. My commitment is the growth of a moustache for the entire month of November, which for some of you that knows me, will not look pretty

On top of this, I will also be running 2 laps around Albert Park lake on 25th November 2010, clocking in 10km (which I've never done before) as part of MoRunning, supporting the same Movember movement.

I am doing this because close to 3,300 men die of prostate cancer in Australia each year and one in eight men will experience depression in their lifetime.

This is a cause I feel strongly about and I’m asking you to support my efforts by making a donation to me. To help, you can either:
  • Click this link and donate online using your credit card or PayPal account
  • Write a cheque payable to Movember Foundation, referencing my registration number 1032494 and mailing it to: Movember Foundation, PO Box 292, Prahran, VIC, 3181

Through the Movember Foundation and its men’s health partners, PCFA and beyondblue: the national depression initiative, Movember is funding world class research, educational and support programs which would otherwise not be possible.

For more details on the impact Movember is having please visit: http://au.movemberfoundation.com/research-and-programs.

Thank you in advance for helping me to support men’s health.

Cheers,
Iggy (Black8)

Same user name over there? Mine is RX8-Mischief on the .au.

@black 8. 3 slices of cucumber/1/2 limon or lime/1/2 tsp grated ginger/ 3-4 mint leaves/1/2 tsp honey. This will detox your liver as well as your colon. You should see a noticeable difference in round 10 days.Give it a try and come back and give your opinion. Enjoy .

A side note ----- Snarkeyness seems to rise with the post count numbers here ......Just sayin.
