I think we need to re-define what the lounge is all about. If its not 'shooting the ****' off the thread...and 'anything goes' what in the hell is it for?????

Until we reach an agreed position on this, people will continue to push the boundaries....and of no fault of their own get a warning or worse still get banned.

I appreciate this is not a forum for picking fights, but we must allow criticism to be made without taking it personally, and be allowed to express an opinion if one believe's in it, without the fear of getting slam dunked for it.

This debate is entirely necessary because there has been a real concern on this subject, and it's hard to determine where the line in the sand is...

So if we arn't allowed to dish out criticism when we really feel its necessary, and people get offended too easily because of it, why have it? Thats my 2c worth...

Also I seem to recall you jumping on a comment by Kall and making the assumption that she was having a go at you. Everyone had asked for all to take a chill pill and so Kall comes in and makes light of a situation. You choose to take it as a personal slight and I think that says mountains about you.

I know you like to keep things "about the RX-8", but this is a forum for more than just talking about the 8. Its a forum for people who are enthusiasts about the 8, to talk about more than the just the 8. But I dont disagree that keeping topics on topic is something people need to work hard on, but at the same time, people need to feel comfortable asking questions and I have seen a few replies recently that would make a few newbies quiver.

Well you can actually do more here conversationally, its just more showing an appreciation for the cars we drive on another website thats getting quite popular.

I saw his car near Flinders St and St Kilda Road maybe a month or 2 ago. He soundedlike he was in a hurry so I didnt bother to try grabbing his attention. Maybe he was just in a hurry to get away from me
