My intention is to stop the "Honey, I know what you are up to" posts from Cromax. I don't know what sort of those personal comments to the other half being entertaining in the car forum. On the other hand, I don't understand why Kall is upset. I never said once that her post is not helpful. If she is upset because I had a go of her better half, so be it

urghhh he we go again...OzRenesis gets draged up! Isnt it funny who assumes that she was going off at "members of OzRenesis". I took that as being forum members...club = RX8Club.
Never said I agreed with the post deleting. In fact I tried to discourage her.
The abuse to her was basically that any abuse directed at Cromax for his month long "Post Whoring" session (while he was procrasting during swatvac) was taken to heart. She believed she was one half of it and so took the abuse about it as directed to her as well. Yet most had a go at Cromax only.
This $%ing ridiculous argument was just one more reason for her to go on sabatical again (she did it last year as well at this time).
You know the really annoying thing is that it had basically all been done and dusted, they had gotten the message, but then it got dredged up again.
I know that Cromax can get a little...over the top sometimes, he is just very passionate about what he writes about. He reads and researchs before posting (more than some here, me included), to the point he can get a little carried away. We had our run ins and we dont agree on everything but we agree to disagree, something I have mastered with the help of this forum. Cromax if you are reading this, no insult intended.
As for Cromax adding nothing, you could argue that about a lot of posts. This is an RX-8 forum, whats to say this latest RX-7 commentary isnt just space filling? Who cares! If its not what I want to read I will just ignore it. Just like you can with his commentary, his with yours and everyone else with mine if they so choose.
Now, where has that Group Hug thread gone

I gather from your "Isn't it funny comment" that you are of the opinion that I have something against OzRenesis or it's members. I've never said a word about the club......not one, so I have no idea what you're on about.

As to whether she takes what is said to Cromax to heart, well that's her business. I'm not about to make decisions on how she should feel so don't imply I was attacking her. I wasn't. Taka was just doing his job as a moderator.

And I actually was amused that my initial thought (until you said otherwise) was that she was talking about forum members. Having seen you mention other wise I can see where you are coming from. Either way, I hate when OzRenesis is dragged into arguments like this.

Trev, there's such a thing as a PM facility - had you simply asked Kall via PM what or why she was doing, that might have saved all this nonsense being dragged up.
I've found it's usually better to let shitfights die a natural death in here than to keep analysing them. Often the analysis is incomplete (for example, Taka bent over backwards in subsequent posts to appease Kall but that hasn't been mentioned). And of course, the public posts are often only a small part of the overall story.
It's like making a judgment with only poor evidence - doesn't do anybody any good and is just talking for talk's sake (at best).
I like most of the players in this debate and would prefer we all just got along rather than take potshots at each other.

Dave, I agree (in principle) of your suggestion this could have been prevented if I didn't ask the question in this forum and sent Kall a PM.
However, I stand by my actions because I’ve got plenty of support from people saying they agree with me raising it.
As history will show, the debate has taken a different shape to what I would call call an unproportionate response.
In hindsight, had I known the post would have caused such an extreme reaction, I might have deleted it based on the prevailing evidence at the time.
Most people will agree that this will blow over in a couple of days, and I’m sure it will.
After analysing peoples thoughts and ideas, the whole situation dosen't bother me anymore, because it tells me that despite the fact that we have many rational, considerate and tolerant people in this forum, there are others that are not and I won't go back there again.
We all get angry from time to time - but it’s what we do afterwards that counts.
My post shall remain on the public record, and so will the comments from others in this thread.
As a result, I’ve learned a lot about myself and about people. If my actions have offended people by asking a valid question, then I hope that you will understand that it was never my intention to see anyone hurt over it.
Hopefully we can all move on and get back to talking about the one thing we all have in common and are all passionate about - our RX-8.
Let’s leave the extreme views, abuse and reactions of others behind us....and move on...
