Cobb AccessPORT Discussion
Ok so This is my first sports car, I know next to nothing about tuning but like this tool because I like the increased driveability and engine longevity perks, however I am a little aprehensive because knowing nothing about tuning and possibly putting on an exhaust and cold air intake in the future I don't know what to look for as far as numbers go or anything about datalogs and such. Is this something that is gonna be too over my head to get into? I don't want to get one...install it then later put an exhaust and cai on the car and have it drive worse or run rich/lean and hurt the engine. I realize this has probably been asked but I do not have the time to search through 200 pages. Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.

since its in Excell just make is easy on Jeff and select RPM, LOAD, MAF, AFR, and then click insert graph make a line graph, takes 2 secs in excell and saves him a load of sifting through Bs.

Jeff,
Again, I know you prefer email, but I was just following your instructions:
That was a week ago, referring to an email from a month ago. (post #4739 on this thread)
Have you been able to look at my original email at all, from Nov. 3rd? Again, I sent a calibration request with all the necessary data and info. Real name is Andrew Bauerschmidt, email from was Elysium19@gmail.com Thanks...

I have an updated spreadsheet for AccessTuner Race users... It..
- imports your csv files
- analyzes to find 2nd and 3rd gear WOT runs
- graphs for MM's info
- analyzes for power and torque!!!*
- exports to a nice small file to send to MM
try it out so i know if it works right...
....
*Horespower and torque numbers represent numbers equivalent to what you would see on a chassis dyno. These calcs are based upon your cars rate of acceleration in the specified gear and corrected for temperature, ambient pressure, aero drag, and the fact your spinning the front wheels and brake rotors which you wouldn't be on a chassis dyno. If you want accurate results, choose a relatively flat stretch of pavement, no strong winds, and be honest about the car weight and ambient conditions. "Extra Weight" refers to the weight of the extra stuff inside of your car (including you) that is not included int he curb weight.

r0tor- how do I get the ambient pressure in Hg.
Ofcourse my Hg is off but it still looks all screwy to me?
Not real keen on the all over the place numbers but it's still pretty cool. Also assuming this is accurate how bad or good are these numbers.
