G'day guys.

Its been a few years but have decided to grab the Cosmo & check out the Summernats this coming Saturday, just for the day.

A few of us rotary guys are heading down in the morning (Sat, 9-10am) & returning later in the evening.

Although the event has a VB drinking V8 wanker/dickhead image. I have gotten many reports of change over recent years hence why I am will head down for a peek.

Any RX-8 guys from Sydney are welcome to cruise along with us.

2 members of our cruise will have radar/laser protection for the trip too.............:D

You coming along to the Meet and Greet then? Ausrotary has all the details, I'll be there for at least friday afternoon.

I might amble out for a look.

Just be aware that there is always extensive highway patrol and RTA activity en route, especially from the Goulburn by-pass and south, so watch speed and noise. You have been warned!! ;)

An update for those coming to Summernats. The ACT and NSW police together with their respective RTA inspectors have set up a road block on the Federal Hwy entrance to Canberra (and I suspect other roads), and are stopping all but the odd Volvo 240 and Hyundai. When you are stopped you will be breathalysed and your car inspected :eek:

I was yesterday afternoon when returning from Sydney, even tho I was wearing my suit … thought it might be colour discrimination until I saw a similarly attired chap in a silver Fairmont given the same treatment. Perhaps hotrodders are becoming even more cunning :p

I was sitting in Braddon on SAT night at the cafe. Since the action was hot the place was crowded. I spotted a black RX-8 cruising up the crowded road & wondered........... "Is that PEPE" from the forum..???

Sure was... :) Got quite a few comments as we cruised down there too, all positive, which quite surprised me :)
