dude...compared to where it would be safe - the stechs alone would be soft. Ask ross_dawg.

and "feels stiffer" and "being stiff" are two COMPLETELY different things.

but you know what...

...i'm done giving my opinion.

here's what i suggest.

18x9.5 +38 push 255's at the minimum and run rsr's w/a solid roll

if you don't like the slightly sunken look - strap on spacers. You're not going to track anyways so using them isn't outta the question. You already said your parent's aren't the 'wealthest' so i would be more careful before throwing their money at a fashion statement. If you make enough money to pay for any mistakes that might occur along the way then by all means go for it. You will definitely have a good look.

If you run +25 w/245's - refer to my other post regarding scrub radius and google what it means.

/end rant

yeah, 245's will work but be a lil' narrow. Nothing dangerous tho.

Once you're ready to upgrade slap on some 255's or 265's if you wanna push it. It'll fill the fender well better and give you a more complete look.

When you get a chance to read up more on fitment and other stuff look into trading your wheels to the evo guys and pick up something more aggressive.

if you are asking tires get 245s you need tires asap. run them until they run out then upgrade to 255/265

for tires look for 255/35 or 40 at least. A lot of people slap on 275's but because of the offset i would say 265's would be max with a fender roll.

Btw I'm running 18x9 +28 on 245/40 with 1 finger gap rear and I was rubbing. I raised it up to 2 finger gap and I was still rubbing. I rolled the rear and it's not rubbing anymore. Im planning to lower it down till it's 0 finger gap and stiffen my dampner and see what happens
