SoCal Lounge II
its a thing ive been raised with i grew up in the vw scene with my dad n fam and we just never liked hondas, i would prefer a toyota or a nissan anyday over rocking the h badge
tilt thats why both my 8 and my old jetta i bought off the original owner, a person in there 30s or older, and they both happened to be in irvine were the owners were meticulous and had kept all service records
well inferior by design a civic is not as appealing as a say corolla or a jetta it just doesnt appeal to me and i do not want a front wheel drive, i dont want a car like a civic thats the most stolen car in the nation i want something i wont regret in 6 months.
i still dont regret buying the fc, because i got is for a great deal gonna make money off it either way

so on to other news...in the coming months I am really planning on getting a Miata as a project and stop modding the 8 (except for a resonator and new CAI and maintenence that needs to be done of course)
Just deciding on a couple things..
Turbo a 1.6 or a N/A 1.8

1.6s are rev happy and if you plan to track it seems like alot of people prefer that route
turbo 1.6 is pretty epic just look at amirs car sure its rough around the edges but his car is a track beast

almost any toyota is bullet proof they just never give up haha my friends 99 taco he has almost no compression on one cylinder and an exhaust valve that wont open and hes still driving and offroading it like a champ, he already has a replacement engine hes just seeing how long it lasts for the giggles

Thats what caused me to get the 8.
I sold her for $600 and the guy I sold it to still has it back as she was. I'm thinkign about buying it back if he will sell it to me. 165k burns a little oil but I had her since i was 17.
I ran it from vegas to cali with almost no oil. never died. ever. never will.
hell our f150 believe it or not im proud of the acheivement it has 306k miles on the original 5.8 we have had it since new, mechically still runs strong asthetically it looks like it should a beten work truck/tow rig/4x4 toy and it does it all only problem we had is i broke the rear diff jumping it in the air :]

ya but I dont want a 4+ year project. If I did I would be buying a much better car...like the eclipse would be a 4+ year project cause that one is estimated over 10k for just the parts not including labor.
The Miata is more like <6k for parts

...I wanna head more towards show car shady.....yes I am a show car type of person, not a track guy really, or a "street racer"
dont care so much about power as to how good it looks...mostly because you never really get to experience the power on the streets...and I am not going to fund a habit like tracking
