Socal Fire
I'm in SD, and not too far away from the fire by the 67. We haven't been evacuated yet, but several of my friends and coworkers have. We plan on sleeping in shifts tonight, just in case. If you know the area, I'm right on the border between Santee and Lakeside. We did our part to help with the relief effort today by taking blankets, sleeping bags, water, dog food, and cookies to our local high school and Qualcomm stadium (both evacuation centers). I sure hope we don't end up needing to use them ourselves!
Keep our firefighters in your thoughts.

my cat's were pretty amazed by the fire

and this is what my house is gonna look like for a couple more days

at my cross streets

and i went to check out where the fires were after school and took more pictures, but i want to post them as thumbnails so they don't take up even more space, so if anyone knows how to do that, i'd appreciate the help.

thinking of trying it tomorrow
as much as I hate to say this, it smelled like Thailand when I was a kid, there were molotov cocktails going off left and right
lol
this smelled just like it, ash and dust, everywhere, and that smell of burning, not to mention I drive an AT 8, I thought my tranny was going to blow, and then was relieved when I saw I had the windows opened
lol

and dude, wtf man, I got a warning on my cell phone that there might be possible wind gust and fire alert tomorrow, I'm in Westminster, it can't possibly be burning here
but if it is, then there is no way to stop it, its so freaking crowded here and the flames will be fueled by chemicals........death

westminister already reaks....it doesn't need a layer of smoke to add to that. put a hankerchief over your mouth/nose when you breathe to keep the smoke out of your lungs dude. and drink lots of water to flush it out.
they just said that tomorrow is hopefully the last day for the bad winds

take a shower, stay in moist areas, and if all else fails, stay in the bathroom. that seems to be the only place in my house with fresh air, and it's really cold in there. make a little bed in the tub and camp out there so you don't kill your lungs man. and again, drink shitloads of water!!
