Does anyone know what a blinking engine light means? The reason why I am asking is this has happened to me ever since I bought this car two mounths ago. I have taken it to the dealer a whole number of time but when it come time to pull the codes nothing come up. This has me worried because I do not want the warrenty to expire before they find something. Or worse yet for the car to break down right in the middle of the road. Now they have replaced tha gas cap and change the plugs. That I do know.
blinking CEL is almost always a sign of a misfire. It's nothing serious but if it's doing it A LOT, then I would say have them check the plugs / ignition coils.
Go to www.finishlineperformance.com. under rx-8's there's TSB's and bulletins. search for the ignition coil one and ask your dealer about it

Go look at my post, at least read the last paragraph.
I can already feel the flames coming.
i don't disagree with cesar's arguments re: the technical features of apple & the iphone. but, in all fairness, apple's design philosophy as a company- starting from the apple 2 in the 70's all the way to the mac in the 80's and now to the iphone in 2007- has always been consistent. and, that is, they always try to design products that are simple, fun, and easy to use for "everyone." and, yes- this is at the expense of not providing more features than competing products offer at times. but, they've always openly acknowledged this and have said that to make products that are just as easy to use for grandma and the professional movie film editor, they have to think outside the box and take a different, more functional approach...
you might hate apple because it's a niche market, or because their products are a bit pricey, or the often misunderstood fanaticism of their customers. but, regardless of what those biases are, apple's place in history is inarguably significant. for a company that barely has 5% of the entire computer market, just look at how much influence they've had over the direction of the evolution of techology...
apple was the first company to introduce an affordable pc that people actually wanted to buy & use at home. they were also the first company to popularize the GUI that we see on every type of pc today- be it windows, linux, or macs. before the first power book, computer notebooks were these gigantic luggage-like things that looked & weighed 80+ lbs.
their pioneering approach embodies the very spirit of what the entire technological revolution was and is about. and, that uniqueness is what- for me at least- makes me so drawn to them as a company.
