Keith: what's the status on your car? Ever get that clutch pedal fixed?

 

after market battery from autozone...2 year free replacement 7 year warrenty prorated.

 

If you don't drive it much the battery slowly discharges over time.

When you do drive it, it's not long enough to replenish what you have lost.

Happens to me all the time on my cars Vans motorcycles.

You know what they say.... if you don't use it you loose it.

 

well, i think we are gonna skip the second saturday meet, and do it for the memorial cruise...... but speeddemon needs to chime in so we can finalize that decision

Have you looked at the vegas thread? They are taking this like a gang territory war. "its us against them boys, lets fight". They must be really easy to upset, cuz I cant see anything in any of the threads that would get me so mad I wanted to fight somebody. matter of fact, It looks like Jedi was trying to help them, and they took it completely wrong

Jedi - Again, I have people in vegas . . .let me know if 'accidents' need to happen.

 

dang. there are some really immature ppl on this forum. those guys (mike & project) ought to be banned for good if they're going around threatening people. hope they learn to grow up.

Can't do anything on the car until after the 1st of January. At least it gave me plenty of time to read up on the clutch issue on the boards. I now have more info to go in with so I'm sure I can get them to replace it for free..we'll see. That is 1st on my to-do list for the new year. Second on my list is to beat in the heads of the Autotrader folk. When I called to cancel my add for the S10, cause it was sold, they cancelled both of my adds....

I only realized this when I tried to search for my add and it wasn't there. Called the day after christmas and they were so swamped, I kept getting disconnected and sent to a fax machine. I did speak with one person who wasn't able to pull up my RX8 add at all....he said he would check in to it and get back to me....Yah, right, I know better. I'll just call back when I have more patience, and they have more time.

Had a migraine the last two days consecutive...has cut into my xbox playing time..oh well.

Spent yesterday with Casey on the new Miata. The car was in better condition on the outside than I thought, was worse on the inside than I had thought, and was even more worse underneath than I had thought. Everything is just so rusty...every bolt you try and turn your trying to bust it lose, and seperate it from all the rust. A couple turns, a couple more sprays of penatrating lube, a couple more turns and hope the damn things don't bust.

Of the four struts we removed....we busted one camber bolt, two sway bar bolts, and can't remove the fourth cause the bolt just spins and doesn't back out. Will probably have to grind a access hole in the lower control arm to get to that bolt....

It started up fine, but is leaking crazy. We found two spots where it was leaking coolant, and found a couple of bolts that weren't tightened underneath that were spots where oil was dripping.

Still needs a muffler, as well as some tires mounted on the rims. We'll be over at Caseys after work next week trying to button things up.

The girls spent some time detailing the inside. We did pull the seats out and found about 84 cents in change, a candy cane, a telephone book from 2006, lipstick, as well as a bottle of sunblock SPF45 underneath the ragtop.

 

hope u guys have a fun time in vegas. they usually have a great fireworks show i hear.

and, on a side note, we sold the acura tl finally... someone put a deposit down and we'll be turning it over in early january.

 

@ speedemon32 - i was in autozone yesterday and saw a magazine
"project car"? that had an article about moding a miata for autoX. i think the car was white. you might want to check it out for some fun reading.

Yeah, got the car did the stuff Keith said + remove the soft top. still gots lots to do. will post pics and more info tongiht. I am heading out there now to work on it.
