i do work this sat but i usually dont. i was supposed to be there this last sat for the meet but i couldnt get into 2nd gear and i didnt want to risk it.

i went back to redline on sunday and the grinds went away immediatly but the notchy feeling in 2nd gear that prompted me to swap my oils was still there. i compared the two oils side by side and noticed that the redline was i tinnnnnny bit thicker but it wasnt nearly enough to account for the difference. i have no idea why on works better for me then the other but whatever.

i got fed up and took it in on monday to get it torn apart. hopefully ill get it back soon.

Our synchronizers are very sensitive to certain oil consistency. My transmission had problems with royal purple but did great with redline. I have heard that our synchronizers need a certain amount of friction, hence why it doesn't do well with slick/thin oil consistency. I'm no engineer but it sounds logical.

Scremn8.... If I were you I would keep the fluid you ahve in your trans untill its time to change it du to milage. then I would go to the dealer and get it changed by them. this way you get factory oil done by a dealer. factory oil prooves to be the best for the reliability of the trans. your not racing your car, there is no need to switch to synthetic.....

.... ok I just noticed the "loudly, verry verry loudly"..... what do you mean?

I am going to stick with old, thick, dino oil. There is not enough performance gains to outweigh the costs of replacing a transmission. I learned my lesson, you all will too.

Keep your Dyno oil....its cheaper now, and cheaper down the road.
