Sorry Gerry, must have missed that South Park episode I think I really only watched the 3rd season...the one with Ike and "Kick the Baby, don't kick the baby".....I didn't have cable, so was only able to watch it at friends' houses. Now that I have cable, well, I have xbox and spend more time on that then watching tv. Go figure.

I don't know if I'd blame the 8. It's fun to drive, fun to look at, has 4doors and 4seat( better than 2doors/4seats),gets descent gas mileage, and are surprisingly inexpensive compared to its competition.( which none really have eaiser access to the back seats)
Personally I'd blame a crashing economy. People that were pulling money out of his/her homes to go buy toys are heading into forclosure, large companies that were stacking portfolios up to 20% with garbage loan packages bought in the secondary market are losing their asses. Which means less corporate growth, less jobs, and even worse downsizing and pay cut-backs. We're in for a rough couple years. Business across the board is taking a hit on the chin.
My theory is that we had our hayday this decade and it's probably time for the cool cars to say good-bye and won't be back till the next economic surge. This is not an uncommon thing for fun cars like the Z or RX. My guess is that the unveiling of the new Skyline and NSX, Lexus V10 and all those other hotties are being put on the shelf until manufactuers see that people have money to burn.

MK i would agree with that statement but those higher up in the economy are not that effected so the higher end cars will sell better.

The stock 8 would be cool to see, but I have always wanted a miata to toy with so it would be cool to see too.
