I think the reason Casey won't be modding anymore are as follows:
1) Bought a house this past year
2) Can't add some mods because it might bump him into a different Auto X class??
3) Already has most of the mods he likes?? (although I still think he needs an exhaust)
4) Last but certainly not least.... Modded cars are harder to sell and Casey wants an EVO!!!

 

one of my FD friends told me that if i get a bigger exhaust i will lose a very small amount of low-end torque in exchange for more mid/ upper-end torque. that seems undesirable to me, given the already low low-end torque we have.

have any u guys w/ the bigger am exhausts noticed this?

I didn't dyno my car "pre exhaust" but I don't see it making any significant differences in low end torque.

Detrich, yes this is true. most exhaust loose tourque but gain H.P.

hmm... i know hp is what we want, but isn't torque important also?

 

HP is Torque times RPM, losing torque and gaining HP means you are pushing your power up the RPM band.
