we've been lucky so far with the convertible miata, to not have to race in the rain....that luck may run out this weekend though. we are scheduled to race first next Sunday, that puts us around the course around 8:45/9:00...hopefully the weather holds just so we can make our trips around the course.

 

I would think that sex in racing is a bad argument. If you think about it, racing is about the drivers skill behind the wheel. Gender would not be a factor, because she relies on skill not strength. I would think that she would have the advantage in one factor and that would be weight. What draws the fans to her is not her skill but her sex appeal. Anna K does the same thing. Since racing earns money from mostly male fans, it would make sense to have her around, even if she does not win. The drivers skill and the car is what wins races not what sex you are.

Than again...I could be wrong. lol

Casey and I were lucky on Sunday...while the track was wet, there was no rain coming down for our race yesterday.

it has been quite some time since we have been this close...it was nice. Congrats to Casey for the win.

In our three events this season, Casey's car has won all three events...me taking the first two wins, and he taking the win this weekend. Our closest competition warned Casey on his final run...."maek it good, cause we'll be on new tires next event."

 

...and if you want to see how a wet course and cold tires can influence grip...watch this one and wait for the fun to happen at 18 seconds.

and yes, the car is now blue, has a ginormeous wing on the back, a front air splitter....and a new NASA style air intake up front. Maybe Casey will post some pics from the front of the car so you can see Mazda Miata ver 3.4.

nope, won't be free...you can always hope that the one car from the pack that will be free will be the Mazda. last download pack, the free car was the Lotus 2-eleven...not too bad for free as it is a strong leaderboard car now on some of the grippy tracks like Tsukuba and the sidewinder/test tracks.

Casey is following rules/restrictions and had a shop build accordingly....but unfortunately, they didn't give Casey exactly what he asked for....so, I'm not certain if the splitter can come lower based on rules, or if this was something that the shop doing the work did not do properly.

With the wing, spoiler, and intake....the shop did good things, but failed short on all three builds. None of the builds were perfect, and if Casey and I could have done the builds on our own (we don't have welding experience), they would have been closer to what Casey actually had asked for.
