San Bernardino monthly Mazda meet and drive.
Hi all, ok so the coolant resivior or overflow tank is cracked at the top, yeah I know another thing Mazda should fix for free, anyway everyone of the vendors and the stealership are back ordered so any ideas on how I can get another one, right now electrical tape is the only thing holding the cap on

weird how they allow those moving emotion cons to do obscene things like wack off on each other, and not censor it. but, for threads with too much skin that don't show anything obscene it gets censored.

how is the Bridgestone RE040 tire? i know it's what Mazda uses for the stock RX8 tire, but how does it perform?
i'm just asking because it's the tire i'm considering for using on my car when i get a new set of wheels. i know that there are better tires out there but i'm finding that this particular tire is the "best bang for the buck" kind of tire.
for the size of the tire i've decided to go with the 225/45/18, which is slightly wider than my current stock tire. and i know that's the stock rx8 tire size :p. anybody have stock rx8 tires they don't need anymore that still have 80%+ tread left cuz they got new wheels? lol, jk :p. i'm going to wait for my car to require new tires before i get my wheels

it's a decent tire, not as good as the Kumho SPT or the Toyo T1R's.
they do get quite loud when they start to wear down.
lots of people here complain about them, I didn't think they were THAT bad. They held up decently to the abuse I put them through; got 17,000 or so out of them.

according to toyo's site, the largest tire i can go with on an 18in. wheel is 235/45/18, which is something i'd rather go with instead of a 225/45/18 wheel because i want to maximize ground contact with the tires for better traction.
but, i've been looking over at tirerack.com and all of the 18in. rims all say that they recommend a tire size of 215/45/18, and that's essentially as wide as stock
(according to the miata tire size calculator site).
so, is there a way for me to know from tire rack, or any other website, a rim that will be able to fit a tire that is 235/45/18?
