Hey Cesar, did Verizon stop by yoru door this past week anytime? They came to our door but I thought they were advertising so I didn't answer. Anyway the notice they left said that FIOS TV is now available in our area (I guess they finally worked something out with Rancho). Curently we have Direct TV, who do you have, will you be making the switch, do you know what the benfits are?
(anyone else can chime in too)
Happy Tuesday Taco Day!?

A guy on the Hunters-Ridge forum had it installed about 10 days ago.
I have dish, but I'm thinking of switching.
Problem I have is that I currently have 1 DVR that records shows for 2 tvs.
Each tv can pause/rewind live television, and watch any recorded show no matter which tv recorded it.
With FiOS, I'll have to get 2 separate DVR's. Their multi-room DVR does not allow the other rooms to pause/rewind. Only the main room can pause and rewind.
FiOS will cost me more $$.
yea, i wish i had a DVR system myself. but, if i had a TV tuner card and a computer with Windows Media Center (winXP MCE or Vista Ultimate) i would definately hook up my computer to my box so i could use that as a DVR.
my brother just picked up a Vizio for under $1k and wall mounted above and to the right of his computer setup. (think he's got a 27" monitor)
I saw the TV last weekend; amazing picture

yeah, they're pretty straight forward.
also, get a wall plate and it'll look much better: http://www.monoprice.com/products/pr...seq=1&format=2
oh, and also swing by Best Buy and they have these velcro tie down straps; those things are awesome!

i've got my 46in. TV wall mounted. my dad got it for me (long story why) for $1700 with the wall mount, 1700 joules surge protector, and a best buy extended warranty included in that price. the standard warranty from samsung was only 1 year. the best buy warranty covers pretty much everything including physical damage
i've got pix of my TV in my myspace i think. if not there, then probably like 100 pages (if on the 15 posts per page format) in this thread, haha.

hey all, long time no talk, got a few weeks from school (just finished summer school)
reading the last page of this thread... i can get you wall mounts for LCD/Plasma TV's for less than $50 through my work.

I'll keep that in mind.
On a side note, I switched my Avatar. I'm sure it supposed to be some sort of
political statement on our president, but I don't know what it means, and I don't
really care. It's funny looking.
