Yup, the wind ruined the paint on my 8, in just 5 minutes, all the care and pride I had taken was stripped away. Sorry to hear Jedi.

Found out something at work yesterday, found out that schools, state wide, may end 5 days earlier this year.....due to budget issues with the state.

State pays each school an amount, for each kid, for each day. Having schools end 5 days earlier means that the state would save significantly. Don't know what this means for the teachers or for me...but I'm sure the kids won't mind.

Went into HR today, everyone is having to go in this week and sign paperwork, basically to ensure that they have your start date, and years of service correct. They are creating a seniority list for some positions and will hand out "pink slips" (not to be rehired) to those on the low end of the totem pole.

yea, was heading to to Riverside to see a friend. I took the 261 to the 241, as soon as I got to the top of the ridge all I saw was BROWN; dust storm coming RIGHT at me.
front bumper got pelted with rocks, I could see them hitting the entire front of my car.

Washed / polished the 8 this past weekend, the front bumper looks OKAY but if you run your hand on it, you can FEEL a million little craters.
Got in my car Monday morning and when the sun hits the windshield, it's really bad.

I gotta find a window replacement company to come out to my office and swap it out for me.

damn Keith, hope you don't get a pink slip.

Yeah, I keep hearing about state employees having to take Furlow (sp?), and schools closing a bit sooner to save millions.
Hell, the State Treasurer is saying that at this rate, the State will not have funds to issue State Income Tax refunds; people might end up with I.O.U.'s

Not tooo bad Safelite is good. Do they have to order it? Do you ever wonder how much a H.U.D. windshield will cost? My cousin (a chick_crazy huh) has an 03 Vette and she has H.U.D. i think it was more than $1k for the windshield. (Heads Up Display), Would be nice if they made our RX8's like that (hUD), they make after market kits i seen one on an MR2 but ah........dont really need it.

sorry to hear about the windshield jorge

i had most of my glass all replaced at Safelight Pasadena- and they did an ok job except they left 1 or 2 really long hairline scratches on my trunk that both Jun & I couldn't get out with the standard porter cable & light cutting pad. (damn bastards.) the only next option would've been to use a wool pad. but we decided it wasn't noticeable enough to go to that extreme. (Jun usually only uses wool pads on cars with really hard paint like corvettes etc. or when there's really hard to remove stuff)

u might try polishing the front first and see how far u can go. but, if there are actual micro dents, then call dent wizard. they can probably gently mold it back into shape and then polish it out.

That's what I got. December 26th.
It really sucks not having the Rotorlution banner anymore, but the 18in crack across my window could not be ignored.

My old windshield was so pitted, that it was hard to see when the Sun was head-on. (apply directly to the forehead)

Having a new window looks amazing.
I paid about the same thing at Safelite. They came to my job.
FYI - I'm not sure why, but when I called them to schedule it, the quote was about $8 less than what I got online.

My windshield total was $229.16 including taxes.
The installer walked around my car and carefully noted all the dings and imperfections, especially in the
area he was working, so if he caused any damage, we would know it was not there before.

Speaking of taxes...

My property tax went up not to long ago.
Yes, I know, this crazy housing situation, and my taxes go up!!!

I thought to myself "Is the County Assessor smoking crack?"

Turns out, no, he's on meth. And now he's in jail.
