Nope, but I read about Cote's knee.
I cringed in my seat reading about it. It always reminds me of blowing out my ACL.
I'm glad I didn't see it. I get sympathy pains when I see that stuff, and my stomach does several flips.

On a side note, I'm getting measured tomorrow for a custom knee brace.
Then they will tell me how long it will take to get the knee brace.
I guess I'm slowing running out of excuses for avoiding the gym.

Yeah, I didn't know what happened at first, one second he's standing there, next minute he's on his back screaming in pain and Herb Dean is rushing in as Silva stands there with a "WTF" look on his face.

When I saw the replay it was ME that was screaming. I'm with you on the sympathy pains thing, I still cringe when I see stuff like that.
Silva looked REALLY weird in the fight though, he wasn't doing anything. LOTS of dancing around in the ring trying to confuse Cote and every now and then would engage him and throw a quick 1-2 or 1-2-3, then back out. Reminded me of Lyoto Machida's fighting style.

Have fun getting fitted with that brace, I think I'm going to get mine looked at soon as well. Emilie has been pushing me to get it looked at and I probably should, I think it's getting worse and I'm not even exercising regularly. (which I have the itch to get back in the gym. This could be a BAD combo)

The last time I got it looked at was like 8 or 9 years ago and my Ortho told me, "yeah, there's some damage in there but if you can still play, go for it. WHEN you blow it out, we'll fix it"

 

Mazdaspeed Monday bump. Would like to set up an endurance race if we can get a full room of RX8club folk. I know there are a lot fo other games out right now distracting us all, but a little Racing every once in a while is fun.

I went to 626 meet sat night- we meet every week nowadays.) also got started on the arduous task of backing up all my files in prep for moving to the mac pro... Waiting for my extra 4gb ram to show up & I can begin surgery... :P

Also started my 2nd round of FU... I don't fall off cliffs as easily as I did first time around... LOL did anyone get midnight club LA yet? How is it?

Beat the Rams in New England 23 to 16. The game was close and competitive the entire way. If you look at stats for the game, or stats per quarter you would not be able to tell who was winning....running, passing, and total yards...even time of possession was even the entire game. Cassel actually played well, one interception because he made a bad decision, and another because Welker got tripped by a defender and the safety made an easy pic. Without those 2 turnovers, the game may have been more lopsided.

Overall, happy with the outcome, especially since we have NO running game now and teams are going to be rushing the passing game even more now. We lost our starting RB for the season, along with our 2nd (believe he is gone for the season) and 3rd string backs (he was out starting last week and don't know why he is still out). The starting backs now are our 3rd down back, Kevin Faulk, and some guy off the practice squad.

Our defense played well given the absence of two influential starters. Our strong safety Harrison is out for the season now. Lost of feee safety and NFL leading puint returner for the 3rd quarter, but he made sporatic appearances in the last quarter, so am unsure of his status.

Important side notes....Bills lost to Miami, which closes up the division now as the Bills were starting to run away with things. They have had a great start. But this also means that the Dolphins have beat both the Patriots and the Bills now in the division.......so, an interesting start to the first 3rd of the season.

 

I rented Midnight Club Las Vegas I think...the graphics were so horrible, and given that it was not even better than the Need for Speed series, I just kinda disregard any release from that series. Forza is enough to keep me happy. It has everything I need and more....I wish I could just keep this game, but know I will get Forza 3 when that is released.

midnight club los angeles is supposed to be completely new & improved. The trailers looked really good..

Was going to just get 4gb total but they had 4gb for the price of 2gb... So my system will start out w 6gb ram. The mac pro can accept up to 32gb Ram since it's 64-bit.

 

I would love to see someone actually put 32gb's of RAM into one of those! 99% of people who buy it will never need that much!!

My new gaming computer will probably only have about 8gb's.

 

macs are rarely usually used for gaming. Too expensive for that. They're mostly used in film editing, music production etc type applications. I got it to run Logic, but I'll also allocate a drive for other fun stuff & dual booting. There are probably production houses that have mac pros w 32gb ram- like at Lucas arts etc.

 

Interview went great.
It was all verbal w/ some generic interview questions.
Then at the end, they gave me a written test based on a database.
It was a database I created for them 2 years ago.

I pre-ordered SWFU. Never picked it up. Last week I rented it.
5 day rental and I beat it twice on the hardest level.
If they ever form the rebellion again, I'm pretty sure I'll get a call.

Very fun game, but after a couple of times, I don't think I'd play it anymore.
Moved my pre-order money over to the next COD.

You're copy does work on systems that have a good online community. Remember, I have XBOX360.
I didn't both endings.
That's why I played it twice.
The 2nd time through I kept changing his outfits. Liked the evil droid looking costume the best.

IMO - that sounds like a nice idea but i think we should stick with the beach, especially if passengers come, it will also probebly be cheaper do to do the beach. (depending...should we start making a list of who brings what?)

 

yeah, its the same day.... the guy asked if we wanted to merge our meet with theirs... i said id ask everyone.. but i think we should stick to our original plan.. but its up to everyone
