We have had a loss in the Family.
Stephs old 91 MR2 was very famous in the community. This was her car when she started the MR2uesday meets several years ago. It was at every major event for 4 years. When we met, she was doing the engine swap on this car. I drove it to work for a few months, so it was a car that was very close to many of us.
A few months ago they gave it to the neighbor kid for his 16th birthday. He finally got it registered last week. 2 days ago this happened
The only good news . . . . . . Sean walked away with minor injuries. As for "Blueregard". . . . . . . .

Random pics of the day

He was doin about 90-100 on a long corner and hit a small bump. He is not the best driver either, it could have been saved but he overcorrected.
Steph was crying when she saw it. She did the engine swap on it, she did the suspension on it, she painted it, it was the first car that was hers, not a hand me down

I DONT THINK ANY ONE IS A GOOD DRIVER AT 16! Why the hell do these kids think they can drive so fast at such a young age. It looks as though he was damn lucky to survive. Sorry to see the pics / hear the loss.

... that sucks.... this is why new drivers should be foeced to drive crappy cars. I can guarentee you that my kids will NOT have a cool car as a first car. (not unless they pay for it)

they need to earn it,

I was spoiled as a teenager.
Dad owned a dealership and a body shop.

When I was 16 I got to drive a Lambo to school one day, a couple Ferraris, Porsches and a ton of classics.

But MY first car was a 1963 VW beetle. (with 212 crank HP )

You lived my dream back in high school

My first car at 16 was my dad's old 87 RX-7. It still is my car. 145hp at the crank, or at least when it was new. I've yet to get in a single accident in that car (besides two hit and runs where people backed into my car in pickup trucks.

I was very lucky to have an opportunity to drive some of the cars I did back then. But my dad was VERY strict on how they were to be treated. Not to say I never got a chance to put my foot in to them, however I was a very responsible teenager that had been through 3 advanced driving courses by the time I got my license.

Too bad no one wants to hand me the keys to their Lambo now-a-days

Wow!
That sucks.
Good thing they found the problem though.
When you get a chance, give us an update, or text me, and I'll update the forum.
Also, are they removing it, or trying to fix it?

Good luck Casey.
