she was an Underwirter? (Sr. underwriter / docs mgr), companies have different names for them.
that's definitely a tough job these days with the lending market being so squeezed. Was it consumer lending?
does she want to stay in that industry?

i'm not sure if she wants to stay i that area.
right now i don't think it would matter.
she was in their whole sale dept.
so i think it was consumer lending.
but yeah that work is on shaky grounds
at the moment. i should make the beach
i just have to make sure the schedule is clear at work...

yeah, wholesale departments took a beating because most of the 'shady' lending came via the broker networks that wholesale dealt with. Most of the major banks have closed their entire WS divisions; Wells, Wamu, Citi, etc
If she decides to stay in that line of work have her look into moving over to the retail lending or commercial lending. Both of those divisions are still running at most companies as banks know that is where any / all of their lending revenues will come from over the next few years. (since no one trusts brokers anymore)
Have her look into US Bank; they were recently rated as the strongest bank in the Country because they've taken hardly any lending losses. (very strict underwriting, trust me... I used to work for them)
Their California operations are headquartered in downtown Los Angeles which I don't think is too far from you guys

Sorry to hear about Katy's job. Hopefully she can find something soon.
I only had to do that once for my friend Verizon phone, and I can't find the thread I used before.
It's totally different on the Sprint phone. I'm working on it today.
